Has made his name off of beating up no hopers, C/B-minus-level fighters, and shot former contenders. With his best win was a tough late TKO win against an opponent whose two fights against proven elite fighters read like this: KTFO and dropped twice by one punch in round two, and decisively outboxed (after winning a couple rounds early) in the other. Has never fought a prime A or even B level fighter. An HBO hypejob that is bought into because of his aggressive style, and about to be thoroughly exposed and KTFO by the first real opponent he's ever fought tomorrow night :yep

We shall see tomorrow night. If Cotto wins I hope u are prepared to give him the credit he deserves. He and his handlers obviously think he can take Mosley, if he does and you don't you lose credibility after such a post.

I'm not going to say "most" overrated but I do agree that a lot of these so called "true boxing fans" buy into hype rather easily. Cotto is yet to fight a true elite and his first fight at a true elite is againsta guy who been doing this for 15 years and is 36 years old.

IF Cotto wins, via a dominating performance, he IS the real deal.

I'll give Cotto full due credit if he wins but his accomplishments don't even come close to the hype at the current moment

For example you have the Cotto fanboys who call Hatton an overrated fraud and say Cotto's this unstoppable beast, yet Ricky's best win is over a man who humiliated Cotto's best win in 2 rounds. Yet Ricky has been an undisputed champ and beaten a top 10 P4P fighter, etc

    Elaborate.

He's stating his opinion with thoughtful reasoning. Not saying is correct or not.

You seem to be talking out of emotion rather than thinking. Atleast based on you comment.

Cotto is good at what he does, maybe he won't get by Mosley, but he's still a solid title holder. If SSM has a couple of fights left in the tank, then Cotto is done on the 10th. I know Bob and Cotto are banking on Mosley being old and they may be right.

Hypejob? That's plain ignorant and stupid. It is clear that Cotto is an excellent young fighter than has been brought up perfectly. He will face a great fighter tomorrow and we'll see if he can pass the test. If he fails, it doesn't mean he is a fraud or a hypejob by any means.

And when he was in the media before the Williams fight many threads about him being overrated were created. Now stop bringing up other people it sounds childish.

Yes it does. Because many consider him better than Trinidad, that he would beat Mayweather, that Hatton stands no chance against him etc....

To some of us who don't OVERRATE him will just sit back and comment on the fight and how it played out.

he's the 10th best fighter in the world P4P according to the Ring magazine. It's fan more credible than yourself, sorry. Ricky is 9th. Quit your bitching.

Who considers him better than Trinidad was?

And explain how a loss to Mosley would make him a fraud? A loss means he may have been overrated to an extent, but it still wouldn't change the fact that he is a damn good fighter.

Margarito would be a 50/50 bet to knock Cotto TFO given Cotto's suspect chin and lack of defense
