    Totally agree with that.

Hatton picks more carefully his opponents where Cotto says just get me a fight.

I've always thought Cotto has looked dodgy and receives far more plaudits than he (so far) deserves. If he beats Mosley I shall accept he IS the real deal

I agree over the competition between Hatton and Cotto. Hatton's best win exceeds Cotto's best win. But lay out their 10-12 best wins and Cotto's resume looks better.

Point is Cotto's "greatness" to this point is projected on him beating the crap out of overmatched fighters with basically no power, and one "B" level fighter who was humbled (in totally different fashions) by the two proven elite opponents he boxed against. When you compare the hype with the actual in ring accomplishments the differntial is ridiculous. His hype hugely outweighs what he's actually accomplished

IF he beats Mosley tomorrow, I'll give him full due credit. But I expect him to get exposed and outclassed. So sue me. I know for sure that the 2000 version of Mosley knocks the current Cotto out within 6. The 2007 Mosley should still beat him

whats the **** about ricky hatton? hatton, the guy who maussa gave trouble to in hattons 40th fight while Cotto thoroughly destroyed him in only his 17th?

or the fact that Cottos last 10 opponents accumalative apponents record at this stage reads something like 250-10-2 or something to that affect...ohhh ok thats it? and the fact thats hes knocked out 9 our of 10 of them?

or the fact that Cotto has been being compared to Mayweather and Hatton and all these other guys when Cotto only had about 20-odd fights. ohh that?

Cotto, who was nearly KTFO by DeMarcus Corley, who Zab sleepwalked to a victory against? Who has the better chin?

you can say the same thing against other guys in the top 10 p4p. take hatton for example, who is a top 10 p4p guy. aside from KT, most of his opponents have been overmatched.

He did the drunk man stumble and held on for dear life afterwards. Point is that comparing opponents mean nothing. Zab, who everyone agrees has a suspect chin, was never hurt by Corley. Cotto was rocked and hurt bad. So by that logic, Zab has a better chin than Cotto. Which everyone knows is not true

The key difference is Hatton beat a guy who was at the time a top 5 P4P and an undisputed champ. He also beat Castillo who was more highly regarded than Judah was when Cotto beat him (Judah coming off 2 consecutive losses including one to a journeyman).

Yes Cotto fanboys make him out to be Superman. You wanna crown him, then crown his ass, but Cotto is who I thought he was :yep

Cotto isn't fit to pick up Tito's drylceaning yet I see his fanboys acting like he's elite by beating the crap out of overmatched no hopers. I don't get it

SO most guys beat ATG's Right away. NO they don't this **** takes time he is getting his chance and he will cash in tonight. WHen and if he does what will you change your tune to then O now he has to beat Williams and Floyd with one hand behind his back before I give him any credit. Why hate man he is a great fighter.

This coming from a Calzaghe fan.... :huh Zab Judah is better then anyone on Calzaghes resume. Say what you want about Zab but he has Elite skills. Cottos resume is 10 times better then Calzaghes.. If you disagree then prove me wrong :good

The more I read this forum I have this growing sense that the self-appointed experts don't even bother watching the fights.

The whole argumentation is often based on resumes and quarrels between fans. "He has fought nobody", "he doesn't live up to the hype", etc. are played like a broken record. Every boxer who's been in the limelight for some time gets it, including Muhammad Ali.

Rarely do I read posts that would describe what boxers are actually doing in a ring.

Anyone who actually watches fights and does not just google names or search boxrec knows that Cotto can fight and belongs to the elite.
