Golovkin should move down, or Canelo should get a couple tune-ups before they fight, I wnat to see the best Canelo against GGG, and unlike GGG Canelo hasn't called everyone out from 147-160, so not fighting GGG first his first full 160 fight is perfectly reasonable.

Whats with this "canelo needs tune up fights before fighting at 160"? He's fighting for the middleweight title for crying out loud!! He can't continue with creating his own Caneloweight class.

Either he is a jr middleweight or he is a middleweight. If he can't make 154, he is a middleweight and should fight at FULL 160. It's really simple.

These guys nowadays make me nauseous with all the catch weight cr ap..

I don't validate catchweights myself personally, so I won't even engage in the "full 160" talk. If he beats Cotto, he should fight Golovkin for the belt as Golovkin has waited and more than deserves that shot now. If he vacates, I won't blame him, he's not doing "a Cotto", but it'd most likely lead to Golovkin waiting on Canelo and I'd rather Golovkin fight him immediately and then move up.

I think he shows he's a bit better than a lot of fighters it seems the only one were the rumors weren't him getting trashed were by Canelo. Another reason why I favor Alvarez if they fight. If a young inexperienced Canelo can give GGG hell after right now I'd favor him to beat him in a class de competitive fight.

    Props to @serge

That was a mistake having GGG spar all these big names, now none of them want to step into the ring with him ever again.

Fail. Cotto rocked him with 8 oz gloves...GGG did it with 16 oz and headgear on. So I guess Golovkin hasn't improved at all? Only Canelo has?

Golovkin needs to stop acting liek Amere-Con and move up or move down if he wants to fight top fighters. If he plans on waiting for fighters to move up, I hope he gets KTFO. I'm a 3G fan, but his waiting around and unwillingness to move up for Ward yet expects Canelo to move up is lame.

Most fighetrs peak between 25-29. Golovkin is fighting father time at the moment. He needs to move up and fight Ward before he gets old overnight.

Well when one fighter has trouble making weight, it's usually expected they move up. Not quite the same as just moving up.

Many fighters have moved up and down willingly, not just because they can't make weight anymore.

3G wants to fight all the top fighters between 154-168, perhaps he needs to take the iniciative and add weight or cut weight like most of the true greats have done when they seek the biggest fights.

3G is not a 27 year old champion, he is 33 and will soon start the decline. He is wasting time. I'm glad he got the DL fight, but after that what? Keep waiting for Canelo or Ward to go to him???
