When I was Cotto's boy's age I would get disturbed watching fake blood in the movies, I can't even imagine watching my own father battered and bloodied in a boxing ring. I disagree with young children of fighters being present at fights. The chance of mental trauma is definately there, and could be avoided.
Cintron deserves no apoligy. No one asked him to talk about Cotto and try and down him. All Cotto did was say the truth about Cintron, which is he relys on his power to much.
To answer the question there was something Cintron was going to extend to Cotto, and it was brought up in an interview. And Cotto said that he didn't need advice from Cintron because Cintron was a disgrace for quitting.
That's what I thought he said too, I don't see how that's a cause for an apology when it was Cintron who gave his two cents in first.
:verysad I have mad respect for Cintron. He got his ass torn up in that first fight against Margo. He fought him again, was getting battered and still continued. He fought till the end when he got hit with that vicious body shot. At least he went down swinging.
I just looked it up. What was said was that Cintron wanted Cotto to win because he was a fellow Puerto Rican, but he felt Margarito would be too much. Cotto replied that he didn't take Cintron's words seriously because he could not get himself out of the two rough situations he had with Margarito. Cotto said that he had been in rough situations before and got himself out. So he didn't care what Cintron had to say. Anyways, he basically called him a quitter.
Well, Cotto did get himself out of a rough situation against Margo. Unfortunately, he didn't get out in the manner at which he wanted.
