It might...on the other hand Clottey is nowhere near as busy or aggressive a fighter as Margarito. I think Cotto vs Clottey'd be a good fight and I'm not sure who I'd pick at this point. I wanna' see what Cotto looks like in the Jennings fight.

At any rate, good luck to Cotto. It's far from being a forgone conclusion that he can't beat Marg in the rematch and I look forward to the attempt.

The meaning of the sentence is lost a bit in translation. Here is the original quote in spanish:

"Desde ese momento Cotto ha tenido cinco combates seguidos, y confesó que se sentía “un poco saturado, pero siempre hemos sido atletas exigentes, atletas que nos ha gustado trabajar, y así seguirá siendo... se nos ha dificultado un poco el proceso en estas semanas de comienzo, pero estoy muy esperanzado en que vamos a salir de ello”

"What he is saying is that he (Cotto) did feel overwhelmed, but always tried his best because he's always been a strict athlete who likes to train and that will not change... (this is the misinterpreted part>) the process of the first training weeks have been a bit hard, but I'm hopeful that we'll be over it soon"

When you read the whole article you can understand that he is referring to how his body has been taking in the first weeks of his training camp :good

  3. Your comment is stupid, and ignorant, so i guess if you run for the last 3 rounds before you quit, with your face all busted to pieces, you deserve a rematch:lol:
Get ****ing real, the fight was only competitive for the first 4 rounds before Margo started busting him up, your boy got his ass whipped, THEN QUIT so deal with it.
And who ducked Cotto???? Paul Williams who beat Margarito didn't duck the over-rated midget...
I hope they do rematch so Cotto will get KTFO, all over again:deal

i got cotto as one of my favs, but i won't buy that conditioning b.s. the man simply got beat down. running a marathon ain't gonna help. i personally think he was trying too hard. he did have the formula to outbox margo, but it seemed most of cotto's punches were power punches and he was running too much, those could of been factors, but in the end it was margo's punches that got to him. he didn't drop because of fatigue, he dropped because he couldn't handle margo's power and pressure to the head and body, and his face was proof of that

I don't see what Cotto can do the 2nd time around that he didn't do the first time. He fought a damn good fight.

He just can't hurt Margo. Margo will land his hard shots and it will be just like the first fight. Margo doesn't fear Cotto and Cotto has a lingering doubt in the back of his head. This will be just like Margo's rematch with Cintron. Cintron landed bombs on Margo and he just smilled and punished Cintron.

There are certain things Cotto could do differently that could make a difference, but it's all theory and it comes down to how well Cotto can execute them under the firery preassure Margo brings on to fights.

Agree. Cottos gave AM a shot and now he's returning the favor. Both guys are true champs.

I didn't say people were ducking Cotto, I meant people were ducking MARGO. And Cotto was the one who gave the Tijuana Tornado a shot. He was brave enough to defend his title against him while others were avoiding Margo.

And easy sweetheart don't shoot in your pants, take a chill pill. I know Margo beat Cotto down. I haven't said otherwise. But it was a war, and there will be a rematch fortunately because Cotto deserves it. Margo already said it. And are you still bitter Margo lost to PW and to daniel santos? Why did he chose to fight mosley instead of PW? See how this goes? We could play this game all day long.

Oh, I agree, would love to hear Team Cotto anounce that they'll hire Angulo and other tough sparring partners for the fight against Margo. Clottey of course is highly unlikely as they may be future opponents and Clottey isn't so busy or tall to really simulate Anotnio's style.

  13. No i wanted Williams to baet Margo, i had Money on Paul:thumbsup, and im glad Margo is fighting the tough Mosley should be a good battle:good
Now go have a drink and calm down, happy new year!!:nut :partytime:beer:secret:cannabis

yea, supposedly angulo is/was a constant sparring partner of margo and is something of a protege of him. now tho, angulo's getting ready for el loco mayorga, but sparring with cotto would serve angulo as well as far as experience goes
