So Manny vs Cotto at 145 was what? Manny vs Margarito at 150 for what belt was that? Is Manny vs Marquez at 144 what belt is that for? :deal

 

I guess Manny is the other one, or better yet lets make an agreement on the weight and ignore it like Floyd and not make weight:deal

 

Margarito could easily make 150 esp. with all this time to heal. Trust me if Manny was in Cottos place this fight would have happend like 2 months ago, it would have been rush and no one would have been screaming foul. Margarito could easily make 150 and is going to be fully heal. Fans should stop worrying if this fight takes place at 150 or 154, both fighter will be ready.

 

Sounds like Broken Man Cotto wants to be a paper catchweight champ. Sad what's happened to him since the first Margarito fight. Catchweight defenses shouldn't be sanctioned.

I'm going to guess you that you are not only a butt-hurt Puerto Rican that is still miffed that Margarito kicked Cotto's ass, but you are also a hypocritical Puerto Rican.

If you strongly believe that Margarito cheated, that is fine, but to say that you know that he cheated is pure sour grapes. And you are wrong, although I no longer support him, I do get pissed off when people claim they know that he cheated, when there is no proof whatsoever that he used those knucklepads in previous fights. As a matter of fact, Cintron's old trainer is on ESB. He actually was with Cintron for the 1st Margarito fight. I asked him if he observed any discrepancies with Margarito's wraps. He stated that there was always the possiblity that he (Margarito) did, but that he saw Margarito's bare hand get wrapped and did not notice anything out of the ordinary. Now, I'm not saying that is 100% proof that Margarito never cheated, but it at least it came from a trainer who is actually in the sport and who witnessed Margarito's hand get wrapped.

I have stated many times that as a former Margarito fan, I am angry that he was even caught up in something like that. He embarrassed his fans, disgraced the sport, and shamed the country he calls home (Mexico). I do believe, and this is purely my opinion, that if the CSAC or DA had enough evidence that it was plaster of paris, that he would have gone to jail and permanently banned from the sport.

Furthermore, for you to talk **** is hypocrisy at its best. You seem to have forgotten that your beloved Trinidad was also accused of something similar. There were rumors and whispers around the boxing world of Trinidad dipping his hands in water to have castlike wraps or using an excessive amount of tape. IF he actually did those things, he ruined the careers of Reid, Vargas, and Joppy. He had incredible punching power in those fights, and it all but virtually disappeared when Hopkins and his team made them re-wrap his hands. This also brings me to my next point. Trinidad went low on Vargas twice. To call out Mares is pure bull**** on your part because even your beloved Cotto has used that tactic numerous times to escape defeat or at the very least used it to change the momentum of the fight.

So if you feel strongly that Margarito cheated that is your right and you are entitled to it. However, if you go around claiming that you know he cheated without a doubt I will be there to shove the aforementioned statements down your hypocritical throat. :deal

 

Honest margarito is the pride of mexico all character and goodness and honesty. just a good decent human mex.

 

Figured you would be a Mexican. and nope Im not Rican. I actually respected Margacheato and wanted him to beat Cintron (both times) before he had to take the easy way out. Its a shame too cause he was a great comeback story. now he is in the wrong sport.
