I'm thinking that maybe Cotto's nose was broke ... he was pawing at it early in the fight and towards the end of the fight he was breathing heavily ... out of his mouth.

I know that if you got a broken nose its very hard to concentrate breathing out of your mouth ... and it seemed like his **** was busted after the 2nd or 3rd round.

yee well hes more proned to be knocked out as everyone knows if he has to breathe from his mouth.......... but regardless what anyone says cotto is still a warrior he was able to stay in the fight for 11 rounds despite the hugeeeeeeee amount of relentless pressure that was being put on him , i take nothing away from him

Cotto didn't quit ... his corner threw in the towel, but I recorded the fight and i'm 100% sure that Cotto's nose was broken.

When you have a busted nose, you're probably going to swallow alot of blood. (thats probably why he was spitting out blood)

I thought the same thing--It looked broke from the middle of the 2nd round.

You seen that too ... I seen him pawing at his nose in the second ... then I seen that he was breathing out of his mouth and spitting out blood by the 5th round ...

This man fought 8 2/3 rds with a broken nose ...

This reminds me of the first Vasquez v Marquez fight ... Vasquez lost because he couldn't breathe ... but he came back to win the next two and one of them by T/KO.

it was clear cotto had quit, the body language said it all. but the ref didn't pick up on it and the trainer threw in the towel.

yes i think i've seen blood coming out from the nose during the 2nd round but it was still minor and the cutman perhaps did a good job of sealing it up

Cotto was pawing at it throughout the fight after the second round.

In the post fight interview, it looked like Margarito's nose was broken.

    It was the first?

Do you agree that it was broken early in the fight?
