But that's the problem no one has ever tested positive for HGH. EVER.

"Governing bodies and U.S. pro leagues have long sought a test that doesn't require blood to detect HGH, a synthetic hormone that aids in recovery and bolsters muscle growth. Even with the blood test, no prominent athlete has tested positive for HGH. Former track and field star Marion Jones and some baseball players, including New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte, have admitted using it."

    .

Exactly my thoughts.... If this happens to be true (which I honestly doubt I believe that Manny is clean until proven differently) Cotto definately has the worst luck in the world by getting KO'd by two "possible / suspected" cheaters cause we can't prove they cheated in his fight.

People need to get off this olympic style drug testing ! Blood and Urine are drawn for every single fight !! Since when does 1 fighter dicatate the rules of boxing ? Why are people ignoring the fact that blood WILL BE TAKEN from both fighters ?? No one ever called for this type of testing across the board when Fernando Vargas tested positive now all if a sudden its good for the sport becuase some fool is paranoid ..The NSAC have been testing fighters for yrs and have caught anyone guilty of ped's . They not only test in boxing but the same is done for MMA.

Cotto is always on point. Just a straightforward guy who doesn't **** around when giving his opinion.

    1) The standards for MLB have failed to catch cheaters time and time again. Why do you think they had ****ing congressional hearings about it?

    2) Baseball and football aren't combat sports where the added advantage of performance enhancing drugs could literally cause permanent injury or death to the opponent.

    3) Pac is under question because he is doing something that has been done maybe two or three times in the history of the sport. It is exceptional, in the most literal sense of the word. People constantly talk about how he's this one of a kind phenomenon and then wonder "why is he only asking for this testing for Pac"? Maybe because Pac is the only guy to move up 7 weightclasses and win titles? Because it's a historical anomaly? That doesn't make him guilty, he's probably just that special, but he's doing something unprecedented, it's not out of the question to ask him HOW he's doing it. No one wondered if Barry Bonds was on steroids until he turned into a home run generating monster late in his career.

    4) The statement "PED testing in boxing is inadequate and should be expanded" would not be controversial in the least. But when Floyd Mayweather, specifically, requests additional testing for his fight, which is something he can do contractually, whereas he has no control over boxing commission rules, he is lambasted. Ridiculous double standard.

    5) Mosely used prior to the DLH rematch and was not caught by the Vegas commission testing.

Cotto wants some vindication for his loss. I could not disagree with him more...

Question: Has Floyd EVER failed to make the welterweight limit for a welterweight fight? In fact, has Floyd ever failed to make the limit for any fight that took place as the weightclass limit? Has he ever even missed weight on the first try and had to re-weigh for such a fight?

The short answer to your question is "no, he wouldn't, because he would lose a chance at the title. Also, you're a moron".

Random pinoy thinks Pac being afraid of needles and sensible drug testing is a case of Cotto having sour grapes. I AM SHOCKED.

Cotto was never the same after the Margarito beat down, but I feel so sorry for him if he didn't get a fair shake against Pacquiao. I don't think that he did. I guess Manny has to add him to the lawsuit list.

    Mayweather Sr.
    Mayweather Jr.
    Cotto
    Cintron
    Malignaggi
    Mosley

    This list is getting long...

You always have to respect Cotto's opinion as he usually takes the high road. You also kind have to feel for him a little because of his embarrassing losses to guys who were most likely cheating. Cintron, Clottey, Hatton, and De La Hoya might all be angry for losing to those cheats as well. At least Paul Williams can say he beat the alleged cheater he faced in Margarito.
