Cotto is working out 3 times a week until august 24th when he will start training full time...

says he doesn't want conditioning to be an issue like the margarito fight

I like Cotto as a fighter, would be nice to see him be able to truly put the Margarito loss behind him, a victory here could do just that.

If Cotto was fighting any other for flyweight, id pick him to win big. However seeing as I thought DLH and Hatton would be hard fights for Pac and they werent I will say his speed, workrate, power and southpaw style gives Cotto fits. I do love both guys though and a loss to Pacman is likely to finish Cottos career off imo.

If Pac lands as many shots on him as I think he can, this could be another heavy loss for Cotto. He'd also have to start from scratch again, and a soft touche on his way to an easy belt may not come around again, like it did with Jennings.

In four fight Miguel will have fought Margo, Clottey and Pacman, 3 potentially damaging fights. In fact Cotto has had a lot of hard fights through out his career, they all add up.

There would still be life in the Mosley fight potentially but that all depends on how he bounces back and if Mosley hasnt got other things going on. But I dont see much on the horizon for Cotto if he loses to Pac.

I see Pac landing alot of shots also. I just don't think Cotto is gonna be able to get out of the way of that kind of speed & power combined. Pac is one of the best conditioned athletes in Boxing and he just gets keeps going & going. I agree with you.

    thats an interesting point.....

the way they have it set up is good though... he wont be "PHYSICALLY" over working..

but this will definitely be a test of cotto's mental stamina.... if he doesnt have a mental break down from all the training he will be ok

It's funny how some PAC fans think that Cotto is damage from the Margo fight when actually PAC has been KO in the past and has been KD more than Cotto in the past, however, today we are seeing a PAC that's making history. My point is, an L may take away something from a fighter but can also add something too and it doesn't mean that is finish at all.

People talk here as if PAC will land his punches basically at will against Cotto not taking in consideration that Cotto has great defense and a good chin as well. Although in this sport you have to get hit in order to hit some there's still a big question that we just don't know yet and that is... How would PAC react when he gets hit flush by a true WW in his prime. I mean, if JMM was able to KD PAC at 130 lbs what do you think that Cotto can do at 145lbs and coming in to fight around 154 lbs? Anyway, we will find out soon.

Another thing... Cotto doesn't bring the same style maxican fighters have and that PAC has been fighting against for the past years... Our style of boxer / puncher will bring him a style that he hasn't seen in a while or perhaps have never seen before.

First off to all the Cotto doubters the man should be undefeated !!

It took somone with a foreign object to beat him ..His fight with Margarito was the sequal to assault in the ring !

Come Novemeber 14th Cotto is going to hit Manny with punches he ain't felt in yrs !!

    WAR COTTO !

I love Manny but he's in over his head here this aint Hatton !

Cotto's loss to Margarito was a lot more career damaging than any of Pac's losses, not physically but mentally, because Cotto hit him with every shot he had landed flush and simply couldn't hurt him, and then at the end of the fight became pretty much helpless. That had to have taken a huge toll on Cotto's confidence.
