I thought it was a pretty good fight, Yuri was giving too much movement for Cotto to plant his feet and land bombs.
I thought it was a very interesting fight. Especially, after the 3rd or 4th round where Foreman landed 2 or 3 real clean hard punches that got Cotto's attention. I thought it was a beautiful display of boxing, and if you thought it was down right boring, well, may'be you shouldn't be watching this sport. Not every fight is going to be Vazquez-Marquez or Barrera-Morales. It basically all comes down to expections really, and I didn't think it was going to be a barnburner, but I thought it was pretty good, and to me it was a pretty good fight.
i loved it... it was mostly due to foreman not wanting to engage though...the times they did in the center of the ring yuri would back off right away.....
That was a good fight. Cotto isn't going to be nearly as aggressive considering he's now small at 154.
Boxing is more than just knock-out brawls. It's about figuring out what works for you. It great to see a fight in a transformation, doing the things necessary to make them better fighters. Cotto is going to be a better fighter because of his marriage with Manny.
Was a good fight, but not great by Cotto standards. I guess that's the OP's point. Have to partly blame the opponent though. You knew it would make it somewhat less actiony. Although I enjoyed the fight. Yuri showing his courage at the end was tough to watch, but interesting.
:?:?:? Question - how do you manage to get close to a guy that's known to dance circles around the ring? You cut off the ring, am I right? How was Cotto able to land 40% of his punches (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and jab Foreman into oblivion?
