There is no doubt in my mind that neither Miguel nor Evangelista particularly wanted this fight. This is not a contest they are at all sure they can win. That's just my opinion though.

I train in savate, kyokushin karate and krav maga, with a mixed martial arts class that has elements of BJJ, Boxing and Wrestling in it.

All of the three main arts I train in, I have a pretty similar motto - train when it's painful, train when it hurts to continue, take a liver shot and keep going.

When you get hit so many times, or fight through exhaustion, or get choked out, you know the worst of it, you know how painful it is and you don't fear it.

Being relaxed and able to keep calm is what wins 90% of the fight in my view.

How is your career coming anyway Kirk? You need to step in the ring man, see whether or not it's for you before age prohibits.

Cotto wouldn't be human if he didn't have a little fear. I'm sure Tony has a little concern also. He even said he was anxious for this fight. The wait is worse than the fight. Always seemed that way to me anyways.

Dude, everyone gets nervous when you fight, everyone has a fear of losing. If you didn't have that to motivate you, you wouldn't perform as well half the time.

    Amen to that. :good

Because Miguel had said several times in the last year that "Margarito had his chance to fight me" when members of the media asked him if or when he would fight Margarito. Cotto never tried to shoot down an opponent. This is Mr. "I'll fight whoever the company puts in front of me." That's completely out of character for Miguel to say stuff like that.

On top of that I also believe that Team Cotto and Miguel himself see's this challenge alot more the way that the people picking Margarito do. I think they're well aware of Miguel's true positioning and power in the big scheme of things. They are looking at this from the inside. It's an incredibly dangerous fight for Miguel Cotto.

You have a point. They are smart people and know anything can happens. They are not blinded by fame. But they didn't run away. Cotto is fighting all the best fighters out there. No matter what the outcome is.

Typical fanboy nonsense. I'm sorta glad that when Cotto loses on saturday dumb assholes like you will take a long extended vacation from ESB. It has an upside.
