maybe cotto should try his hand in self-promotion instead. he can just get finkel as his manager/adviser.

I don't think he has the money to do that just yet. Give him one or two more big paydays and he probably will.

Top Rank has done an excellent job of guiding Cotto's career. He has a quality resume but not many dangerous fights. The dangerous fights that Cotto has been in were after he had plenty of experience with a multitude of different styles. The guy was a top 10 p4p fighter and is about to be a 3 time world champ without ever having to beat a reigning champ. Top Rank has also done a great job of handpicking opponents for Cotto. To beat Cotto you have to be able to punch and take a punch. Pretty much everyone Cotto has faced has lacked at least one of those attributes. He has built up a good resume by beating handpicked fighters that are tailor made for him. The only notable exceptions would be Mosley and Margo.

I'm not an Arum fan or a Margo fan. However, the guy is showing loyalty to his fighter. That's something that Miguel should appreciate. Instead, it seems he's still salty from that loss to Margarito. Cotto needs to realize just how intrumental Top Rank has been in his success.

Blame Arum for not getting him better fights...its because of this **** opposition and "handpicked opponents"...which I honestly feel is bull**** because some of those opponents were very dangerous and a lot of which no one wanted to deal with (Corley, Torres and Quintana)

Arum is the reason that you feel Cotto is probably overrated...it's a shame because me, along with many others, feel he can beat many of the contenders in the WW division.

Why is it that I never agree with your posts? WTF dude it's good to be loyal to one of your fighters, but to be loyal to a cheating fighter is just stupid. He doesn't deserve Arum's loyalty here. Arum instead should have shown his loyalty to Cotto by sending Margarito back to poverty. Cheaters deserve to go to hell and get raped in the ass by the devil.

I dont see how they didnt put more blame on the CSAC overseer of the Mosley fight when it was Richards who had to ask about the wraps?

Are there not enough steps taken to make sure the hand wraps are legal...?
    :huh

Cotto should become his own "promoter" a la RJJ, hand pick his opponents i.e BUMS/CAB DRIVERS so that he can be considered an ATG some day............:yep

Ps...One a serious note, he probably either promotes himself because he does have a promotion company in PR already or signs with GBP (which to me would be a stupid choice).

The reason he hasn't fought many guys with great power and a great chin is because that type of fighter is not an easy find. The only fighters that I can think of in the WW division left that Cotto hasn't fought with great power and a great chin are Paul Williams (not really "great power", but decent enough i would think), and Clottey (same here with the power) and you might count CintrĂ³n but he doesn't have a great chin as was proved by the "headbutt" incident.
