pac by KO in 7 or less......pac has too much speed, and is the stronger puncher.

Cotto has been looking very vulnerable lately, I agree with Teddy Atlas. He is ripe for the picking, and after the Clottey fight and how Cotto looked in the middle rounds I now think Pac could take him. Clottey would have won that fight imho without too much trouble if he had pressed Cotto instead of letting his foot off the gas.

at 147 anything can happen, Cotto has little advantage
    at 145 even
at 144 Pacman has little advantage
at 143 Pacman all the way...

The BIG difference is that unlike Margo and Clottey, Cotto can hurt Pac. I still give the edge to Pac because of his speed.

What in the world? You don't think Margarito or Clottey have the power to hurt Pacquiao? :patsch Has Pacquiao become terminator, iron-chinned all of a sudden?

I mean that Cotto couldn't hurt margo or Clottey but he can hurt Pac.

:good yeah true. Cotto eats smaller guys for lunch. Clottey and Margarito are exceptions because 1) Margarito has known to have a lot of mileage but good beard at 147 and 2) clottey has a good defense and decent beard himself at 147.

I think Cotto will be surprisingly as fast as Manny, just as he was when he fought Shane Mosley. When he has two eyes, he's a top quality fighter, but we have a lot of fickle posters on these boards. They forget quickly.

You know, there is evidence that people generally underestimate Cotto's speed. That is not to say that he is faster than Manny, but in two fights against guys who are considered fast, he was beating them to the punch. Mosley and Clottey. This is not to insinuate that he will be landing at will against Pacquiao, but my point is that Cotto will not be denied from landing punches. I guarantee it.

Stamina will be the key for Cotto...Can he last 12 rounds with a guy who can go 15 if needed. Better defense and he should win. Also, jab jab jab the **** outta Pac.

Pacquiao - if he can take Cotto's punch, it will be a long night for Cotto due to Pac's speed and if Pacquiao uses his footwork, he can win a UD over Cotto.

Can't wait till this fight gets signed!!! I also wish Cotto had more time to heal up and rest though.

I don't expect many people to disagree with you here.

Manny Pacquiao is not an elusive target when he is fighting elite fighters, and I consider Miguel Cotto an elite fighter. I'm of the opinion that he actually performed well in the Clottey fight considering the unfortunate circumstances he found himself in from round 4 onwards. I've always been impressed with him every time out.

Miguel Cotto has very fast hands himself, and he is one of the better combination punchers in world Boxing right now. He has inadequacies with his defence, but I believe Manny Pacquiao does too. Miguel will be the harder puncher in this fight, and I believe he will be able to land on Manny often enough to force a stoppage.

I've been wrong with like nearly every Manny Pacquiao fight as of late, he keeps proving me wrong, but I don't see any reason to favor him in this one.

It's a fair fight, and Miguel has his eye sight, I believe he ie still one of the top 5 fighters in the world.

It is very true. Pacquiao's weakness has been his opponent's jab. If pacquiao can contain that jab then that would be it for cotto. Cotto has power but his punches are slow. Pacquiao's speed combine that with his power and the way he throws his punches in bunches and in different angles, Man it's gonna be a good match. I think this will be an even match up.

I tried watching the cotto / clottey fight and Pacquiao vs ODLH @ 147, I don't see Cotto giving Pacquiao any trouble. I mean Pacquiao even at 148 was ****ing fast. What amazed me was that when ODLH landed that left hook on Pacquiao's face, it didn't even fade Pacquiao. Maybe it has something to do with ODLH's weight that night but who knows. Regardless of Oscar's loss of weight that night, you can't deny or say that he doesn't punch hard. It's always gonna be there. Cotto punches slow and the only punch that can KO Pacman is if he becomes careless during the fight. Also, I really hope Cotto doesn't low blow or rabbit punch Pacquiao. The guy is known for it.

Oscar didn't land one flush shot with conviction in his fight with Manny Pacquiao, and unless you want to produce evidence proving me wrong, I would stop with that campaign. Manny has been hurt by Marquez and Morales, he can be hurt by a Cotto left hook in this fight. I believe.

Miguel Cotto slow? Where has this all come from?
