Cotto training footage with new trainer..

So looking forward to this fight.

The new coach has mainly been an amateur coach, correct?

 

Used to look after the Cuban amateurs. Not exactly your local boys club.

 

He trains Solis, I think.

From that short video, it appears as though he's doing the right things. I mean, Cotto training with a bit of intensity, is pretty rare to see on camera. However, we won't know how good he is for Cotto until he steps in the ring with Marg. I hope he [the coach] proves me wrong, but, I'd still feel more comfortable if it was Steward overseeing things, instead.

 

Cotto's worked with him before. They seem pretty familiar and he speaks Spanish. Cotto needs someone he respects and that he'll take orders from.

 

When he was an amateur - they spent some time together in the various gyms. They've got a good relationship by all accounts.
