this could happen apparently,but should it?castillo is one of my favourite fighters so id like to see him in one more huge fight but im not sure i like this match up.
This fight makes sense make or break for both fighters, castilo is on the comeback for one last title shot, and cotto will find out if he has anything left. Who ever wins should go after one of the weaker champions at welter
Good fight, I think Cotto should take this fight to boost his confidence back up if he wins, then go after like a Mosley rematch or Berto! Then theres always Paul Williams.
IMO It should not.Cotto would hurt him plenty.I hoped Castillo could et his original fight vs Antonio Diaz at 143 back but Tono signed to fight Victor Ortiz.That would have been good for him. PS Nice Thunder avatar.
what if cotto doesnt get him out of there early & castillo is still strong in round 8,9,10 could cotto become disheartened?i wouldnt completely write JLC off.
go after paul williams? cotto needs to stay away from williams, cotto should go after fights that he a good chance of winning, not paul williams.
A part of me would want to see this fight, but then again, By Cotto winning sure it would boost his confidence(same way it did with Jennings) but to a certain extent this fight would mislead him. I think he should take a winninable fight but one that's still tests him atleast a bit. In a Cotto-Castillo fight, i only see Castillo being the one thats got more to gain if he wins. I rather see Cotto-Collazo if he plans on facing the winner of Mosley-Berto.
the guy is going to end up with a smashed up face for good, his best days seem behind him, he is cutting and swelling worse than ever and seems to have gone slower a former flyweight champion was takeing cortto's punches like they were nothing. why not let the guy have 3 more fights maybe win another title then call it a day and wait to hear from ibhf. But paul williams is being avoided by the middleweight champion of the world! what does that tel you if middleweights are avoiding him! he is just hitting his prime and cotto is finished it would be a mismatch
