There's a reason Clottey hasn't been getting meaningful fights with the top players and its not because he's not available. Cotto deserves much respect for taking this fight soo close to his lost. Clottey is one tough, sturdy, strong dude with very good defence & boxing skill .... You would know that if you wasn't such a twit.

 

Cotto UD. Clottey isn't as good as people think.

Cotto ud or maybe a late tko gotta work that body. Clottey will turn into a slapper after 4 rounds and wont have anything on his punches.

 

I think Clottey is a great fighter like the rest of the people on this site. However I think Cotto is better and when people use the Margarito comparison with Clottey they forget that those 2 fighters are nothing alike otehr than being big WWs.
Also I think Clottey can be outboxed and Cotto is a great boxer too. people forget taht because of his devastating power.

 

I said this before the fight was signed and I will say it again. I am HOPING for a decision victory for Cotto, but I am very worry about his training. Too many issues in his group. I think the camp was kind of short. And I also think Bob Arum is trying to get rid off Cotto. For the MArgo/Cotto fight I fell all the promotion was focus on Margo. Now, I see Clottey getting the most attention he has ever got. You see, Margo is Mexican. Clottey is from Ghana. Doesn't take much money to live like kings in any of those two countries. Cotto is an american citizen. He understand the dollar. I don't think Cotto is allowing Arum to steal as much as he would like.

I like Clottey for the upset. Cotto will start strong - but Clottey's tenacity will wear him down late to win the championship rounds and the fight.

In truth this is a pick 'em fight and should be a great battle.

 

Went down exactly how I predicted. Unfortuntately the popular fighter won the close decision, but Clottey deserved the win.

 

I don't feel entirely wrong....
