I'm after a bit of advice from fellow boxing fans...

I'm coming over from the UK to New York this week for the big fight at the Yankee Stadium. I was wondering if anyone had any tips/advice on the best way to get to the Stadium and back to Manhattan (our hotel is near to Grand Central station) on Saturday night? I've been told the Yankee Clipper/NY Waterway cruise won't be running as its only used for the ball game.

Would it make more sense to get a taxi back - if so is there a taxi rank nearby? Or am I likely to catch the train after the fight, bearing in mind what time it will finish?

    Thanks in advance :bbb

Taxis should be there. Both yellow cabs and the livery cabs. Get your rate 1st. You couls also take the D train or the 4 train.

    Enjoy the fight.

The Bronx back to Manhattan is a nice walk in the summer.
Cheaper than a taxi and the air is slightly fresher than on the metro.

That's a joke right? You can't walk from the Bronx back to Manhattan man!!! Best thing to do is take the 4 or the D subway lines. 4 if you're staying on the East Side, D if you're staying on the west. Taxi will cost you $40 bucks - subway right outside the stadium is $2.50. Hope that helps!

The 4 train will take you right to Grand Central - 20 minutes.
