  1. Whatever i've seen both of them fight, and i'll take the Mexican, he eats punches like candy, and is more tenacious, Cotto is far from unbeatable..:-(

Gomez was one of the tallest fighters Cotto has faced but he had nothing - it was a slaughter from round one but still Cotto threw 60 punches a round... Margo is 5'11'', took all Cintron threw at him and was making him bend for hurtful body attacks by round 2 ( threw 133 punches in that round), 611 leveraged punches in six rounds... Miguel Angel may be confident that he's on another level after the Shane Nov 10 fight but he can't avoid the collision course with the toughest guy out there.

For my money, there's no better fight to see for the rest of 2008(unless Marquez/Vazquez4 or JMM/PAC 3 are made)!

I think he does. He has in the past. He's had fights, such as the Abdullaev fight, where he spent the great majority of it boxing while moving laterally and on the backfoot (some call it "running", but I do not). Often times he starts off that way (Ceballos, Bailey, etc...) but starts to put on pressure when he sees he's got his man hurt. That's going to be hard to do against a tough guy like Tony, so I see Cotto fighting more conservatively and boxing his way to a decision. He'll certainly have his tough moments and Tony will force him to trade at times and put some hurt on him, but I think Cotto's overall talent and skill advantage will enable him to win.
