Legacy isn't on Floyd's mind. He already believes himself to be the best ever. And if you believe that, you don't try to improve a legacy. And if it was money, well, he gave up a very big payday in the DLH rematch.

The only way we'll ever see a new Mayweather fight is if he fights Pac.

Yeah ... we can agree to disagree on this ... but I didn't see it any different - other than what I pointed out and we agree on that.

But yeah the whole tacticle and strategic plan that was set out seemed simular as if Oscar was trying to follow a blue print and he looked the same as Castillo did.

I think there was something other than money that was the reason for him pulling out of the DLH fight ...

I agree with you on Mayweather thoughts on himself ... but don't think that team Mayweather isn't keeping a close eye on Cotto and already has a game plan inline just in case.

Remember Uncle Roger talking about "Bill Gates and those ****ing computers"

Yes, apparently he wanted a 50-50 split w/ DLH. That's the unofficial rumor. If you think it's somethingother then money, just say it. Don't advertise youy THINK it;s something else and not say it.

Never gonna happen. Mayweather's made that clear enough through his ridiculous contradictions.

Gates isn't doing computers anymore. He's moved on.

Regardless of his lay off i still think Floyd will be just as good maybe even better sometimes a layoff is what a fighter needs however now i just dont see the fight happening I Just think Floyd doesnt want boxing nemore and hed rather keep the 0 then lose it. I voted Floyd UD

Lance ... I believe that part of had something to do with the negotiations and another part of it was fighting against his father -- despite what he says about his dad, he still has a ton of respect for him as a trainer and as a boxing mind.

You say contradictions so theres a chance that may ... just maybe he's giving others a chance to get clout and build themselves up ... thats always been a problem since Mayweather became the p4p - he would also question other fighters "clout", "accomplishments", and "marketability"

I was using that Roger Mayweather quote as a reason why Floyd won't completely leave the sport as of yet ... as of right now it seems that he's done and not coming back but i'm sure a few trash talking words from a certain fighter who can stand to make a big fight ... the thoughts of coming back will start to haunt him.

    Nigel_Benn ...

I can't see him saying that he would love to fight Cotto but Cotto would have to build himself up (on national TV) ...

See Cotto get to where he once was ... and totally avoid the thought of them fighting.

If Cotto gets to 350k to 500k PPV buys depending on how well his fight with Margarito goes and if he can land a fight against DLH add in some subliminal trash talk ... i'm sure that would be enough to make that fight happen.

Check it out though ... the last two fights that PBF was in was against 2 highly marketable foes ... w/ Hatton being a superstar in England (packing 20-50k fans in a soccer stadium) and DLH (big PPV stars and the ability to pack 20k fans into a US soccer stadium)

If Cotto was able to do that then I think the fight wouldve been happened ... I think other than the money - Mayweather can't take someone having the spotlight over him and to a certain degree I think thats where some of the animosity towards his opponents come in.
