It says about everybody. Cotto wanted an easy fight. WBO got him a title fight and a easy fight in one Jennings shouldn't be ranked that high anyway. ETC.
Generally, once fighters reach a certain stage of advanced mileage they tend to burn hot and cold. In this particular case it's hard to say what may have been going on with Mosley, but something was not right at all. That's what I saw. All we can really do is speculate.
.....And what I saw was not Cotto related. The author is correct. Someone else mentioned this, but I didn't see it initially - until I focused my eyes on Mosley the entire fight instead of watching Cotto in a seperate viewing. Jack Mosley could see it as well. Listen to the **** he's saying to Shane in between rounds. I've never seen him that PO'd ever.
He didn't want an easy fight. Hell he didn't even want this fight. Arum told him if he didn't fight, he'd be frozen out anything major for at least a year. Cotto said he preferred to a tougher challenge than Jennings. Cotto wanted Berto, Berto wanted it to happen...Arum said "eh...no. It's Jennings or nothing" What it says to me is that Cotto's loyalty to Arum is kicking him in the ass.
I think Mosley will do a lot better in a rematch, I saw the fight today in a Directv special here in Puerto Rico and definately he looked a lot better in the fight against Margo. He figured out Cotto after 3/4 of the fight and he was starting to punish Cotto real bad, I'm a Cotto fan but i doubt that Mosley will make the same mistakes twice so i'll be rooting for him in a rematch for late tko or a wide d
Well Berto would have been an easy fight....................joking. Berto is a good fighter. PS:Arum is a piece of **** and I can't wait till he dies.Threr I said it.
Gotta love the ole Thunder honesty. I actually think Berto improved in the Collazo fight. We finally saw whether or not he had heart and honestly? I was impressed in that. He still lost the fight though IMO.
