Cotto v.s. Pacman II

Cotto gets embarassed by an A level fighter. Dude was on his bike from round one against an arm puncher with a bad eye.

 

Cotto is a gret guy, but please don't fight Pacquiao again. You will be seriously hurt. Remember, you have a family. Enjoy the rest of your life with them.

 

Seen it once, rather not see it again.

Pac should win but if Cotto decides to box and stay behind the jab, staying disciplined, not getting into ANY wild exchanges I think he could make it interesting. Both fighters took a beating in their first encounter........if Pac can impose his will like in the first fight IMO Cotto would crumble again.

 

at 150, 10oz gloves. Make it happen after Pac-Mayweather in late 2012 and after Cotto beats another beltholder or top fighter like K9, Cinnamon, Vanes. It will be even better should Cotto beat Chavez Jr for a MW belt, at a 155 catchweight. There's a good possibility it will happen eventually if Cotto wants it, it's the best fight financially for Pac outisde of Mayweather, Marquez.

People seem to forget that Cotto was coming out of 2 really bad performances, had been going through some personal family problems with his uncle, had his conditioning coach as trainer and was fighting at a catch weight of 145.

Now, I'm not saying he is going to win, but... If they make the fight at a lets say 150, try to copy or apply a similar strategy as the one JMM used on the 3rd fight, and Cotto sticks to boxing... I see this going a lot different. Maybe he doesn't win, but he can make it very competitive... If If you watch the fight again, you see that when Cotto was "Boxing" he got the better of the fight, he just fell into the trap of thinking he was the bigger puncher... Just as the majority of Pacs opponents do.

I only want to see Pac against Floyd, but if that fight can't be made, I wouldn't mind watching Arum doing this in house fight...

honestly, I think Pac would catch cotto if cotto boxed the way he did against Margarito.

I agree, at 154 it would probably be a closer fight with no stoppage, can't choose a winner though.

 

Rematches are for close fights. Pac - Cotto was nowhere near close.

 

Barrera wasn't too competitive the first time around and he was still able to perform better and a bit more dignified in a second performance, even though he still lost. I think Cotto would have to impress further to earn a Pacquiao fight and we all want Pac-May already, but after those things happen, I wouldn't mind seeing it at all. Why not; good payday and another chance at legitimate glory or at least an enhanced legacy and sense of pride. It's a challenge worth getting up for at this point in his career.
