I've tried to educate you about the business aspect of boxing, but I've come to realize that with you it is a waste of time.

A rematch between Mayweather and the winner of Cotto/Alvarez could potentially reach/break the all-time ppv record set by Mayweather/Pacquioa. The WBC does not car whether the Golovkin is the mandatory against the winner of Cotto/Alvarez. Boxing is a business and which ever match-up brings them the most sanctioning fee is what they're gonna enforce.

I don't think Floyd would fight Canelo if he looks so good against Cotto. It'd be too risky for Floyd's 0, especially at a weight limit higher than 154.

In boxing it is expected that fighters move up in weight not down. So if GGG wants to impress me the direction is north, once you have dominated middleweight you move on to supermiddlewight...unless you one of those Haglers who wait around for lightweights and welterweights while making excuses while you can't move up yourself.

They seem to, they constantly insist GGG needs to fight Ward to prove he's not a hype job.

Who said he has a problem facing Golovkin? At the moment he is training for Alvarez. I'm not aware of Cotto or Alvarez saying they won't fight Golovkin, maybe Golovkin's team are the ones making that up...

But what does G have to fear from Ward? According to G fans he hits harder than anyone from 168 on down, he's a hunter, destroyer, KO artist, he'd be favored over the bigger Froch or Chavez Jr, so why so threatened of Ward?
Is it cause Ward is better than Golovkin?

    froch was old and semiretired

chavez jr is b level fighter

ward is elite fighter ,way more skilled and proven than ggg will ever be.

ggg fears losing ,getting schooled and being considered a hypejob

ggg fans are scared of ward

So is Ward better than Golovkin? Is this the reason his Team and fans don't want the fight?

Er, because he does stupid things like...

Fights the MW champ for the belt, beats him and won't face the No.1 guy in the division in Golovkin? But he'll face Golovkin's last opponent and will say that he is "more deserving" that Gennday, yet Gennday just laid him out.

Cotto, for all of his "I feel amazing under Roach!" is scared. He is FULL of excuses not to fight GGG.

F*ck sake - either man up and let MW fighters fight at the MW limit, not the LMW limit, face the VERY best in Gennady, or go back down to 154/147.

Cotto is annoying the hell out of me more than any other boxer these days.

Cotto really isn't a MW. He should've relinquished the title after he beat Martinez.

Since he's decided to defend his title, albeit at CW's, than he should be open game for any top MW. I'm almost positive however if he's able to beat Canelo (which is no gimme at all,) than he'd probably take on FLoyd for his MW title. FLoyd is the WBC's lovechild and he'll get the opportunity if he wants it.
