This just shows you how high of a standard Cotto has set with this competition: an undefeated belt holder who is ranked in the top 10 in the division is considered a step down.

For many of the fighters who get nut hugged on this site, this would be a legacy defining matchup.

How can you try and discredit Cotto for this fight? Cotto deserves props for this fight, it's the defienition of high risk- low reward.

I'm guessing you've only ever seen one Trout fight once and it was his last one vs Delvin.... watch some more Trout fights, dude is pretty ****ing good and definitely a legit top ranked undefeated JMW. He whupped David Lopez's ass as well as Canelo's brother- former champ Rigoberto Alvarez in Mexico!

I cannot understand why Cotto chose Trout, there are quite a few better options that are much lower risk/higher reward. Strange choice and wouldn't be shocked to see an upset here. Pretty close fight imo.

Miguel could have done a lot worse than Trout who arguably is the 2nd best 154 lb fighter (behind Mayweather) that he will have faced.
