This would be a very good match up.

Cotto has more speed and skill, and hits hard enough to get respect.

Alvarez is 10 years younger, bigger, more durable and hits a little harder.

    Kinda 50/50 I guess.
Think it will end up a very close decision, wich goes to the somewhat bigger star.

    Canelo decision

of course it has to be at 154 even though canelos last 3 fights have been at 155. cotto's gotta shoot for any possible advantage. fight should b at 155 or higher for cotto's belt. canelo by knee!!!

Cotto should negotiate a 154lbs limit he showed he can easily make it and I do believe it was a marketing strategy just for this fight. It would work to his advantage, its a hard fight to predict though for some strange reason I think Cotto stops Canelo late….I haven't lost a prediction in some years now I might have pushed my luck on this one lol!

At 154 for the lineal jr middle title or maybe the vacant wbc belt if Floyd decide not have it anymore.

It's not an unreasonable prediction. I also predict Cotto stopping Canelo in the mid late rounds with a great body shot. Canelo will find that Cotto is harder to hit cleanly than he anticipates, and will be winded by the middle rounds. All the while, Cotto will be digging those body shots. A gassed out Canelo will succumb to one last body shot and his legs won't let him beat the count.

That's quite a detailed description as if you had a vision! :good

I can certainly see that happening…Canelo is a young gun though Cotto can outbox him if he's careful stays off the ropes and if caught with a big shot avoid the follow up combinations coming from Canelo.

fight needs to be at 155 or higher for the middleweight belt that canelo will take and then fight a unification match w ggg. canelo will kko (miguel takes a knee knock out) miguel has yet to fight a non shot or weight drained middleweight and will be exposed by the younger, stronger canelo if they fight.

Really a pick em fight to be honest with a slight lean to Canelo.
