He actually twisted his ankle on that knockdown. He was hurt, but he wasn't on ***** street. Make all the excuses you want, Cotto was on ***** street against a shopworn, light hitting puncher.
Ok since we're talking Collazo we're talking a guy that gets fustrated when things get tough for him. Funny thing is you can see in his face as much as his performance just how uncomfortable he can get. Learning from the mosley fight Shane's speed bothered him(just imagine the fits Berto would give him) And also a guy that doesn't big punching power either. I think he'd be a good test for Berto nothing more. As the fight goes on Collazo falls in the Forbes/Rodriguez category and just gets beaten up and emabarrased.
Its been well documented that Collazo injured himself in that fight.....Again you ignore the obvious and collosal stamina problem Berto has.....Collazo would put on a serious clinic Dynamite, I'm not shittin you either bro...this would be an epic schooling
Dude that was flash knockdown. He walked into it and wasn't expecting it and dominated the rest of the fight. Unlike Cotto where the first time his chin was tested he was almost Knocked out by Chop chop:yep
Cotto does most of his damage to the body with his left hook. He'll need Berto to expose the right side of his body, not the left side.
Just because he was clinching a bit in the Forbes fight does not mean he has stamina issues. Did he have stamina issues before that fight? I don't recall. Miguel Cotto's legs gave out in the Margo fight, does that mean Cotto has stamina issues? Has he shown any before the Margo fight? I don't recall that either. Berto would have to be winded in another fight to prove this case. It has to happen on a routine bases for there to be a case on stamina issues. I could see Collazo putting up a descent fight. I don't see Berto stopping him, but I see him out working him though. In fact Collazo would be the most dangerous test for Berto if they fought right now, and I also would see Berto raising his game for that. You make good points, it would be interesting if they fought:thumbsup
in a flash kd you are not hurt,,, berto was clearly hurt by that punch ,, chop chop shot hit cotto above the ear which affectcs your equilibrium,,, answer this will berto will be able to take alll the uppercuts that marg landed on cotto for 11 rds ,, i dont think so he will be stop in 5 rds
I want want to point out that Hatton got KOed my Mayweather at 147. Any of the elite welters would do the same in lesser rounds.
my point is that cotto took alot of uppercuts from marg for many rds and berto wouldnt be able to take half the amount of punches cotto took , they guy got dropped and hurt by d-level rivera please,,, that should tell you all you need to know about berto
I never said he doesn't throw both, but the punch that he does the most damage with is the left hook. Berto leaving his left side open won't help Cotto land his left hook.
Maybe style wise Marg would have less problems with Berto other than his speed, but I think style wise Berto gives Cotto a s*** storm.
It not going to happen soon, i think Cotto's plan is a comeback fight against a decent but not great contender then a rematch with Margo if he win i don't think a fight with Berto will be on the radar a lose well then the fight is more easy to made.
