Id like to see cotta back at 147 to beat berto , i think he needs to be back at 147 its his best weight , i think cotto berto would be a good fight and it would give cotto more time with steward , that jab of his is something special , i feel he wins , this could then set up a huge money fight with floyd , i think cotto needs at least a full year with steward to get really on track with what hes being tought , do i think he beats money right now prob not, but get him another big win hopefully by tko or ko and TIME with steward and i feel he has a legit shot, much more than hatton or marquez

    thoughts ?

He may have a shot at fighting PBF not beating him. I really think he is done with 147. He should be fine at 154. Most are saying he is too small for 154. Most of the 154 fighters came from 147. Williams, Cintron, and Spinks. No one is saying that about Pac. Steward will help him win some more big fights before it is all over.

Sounds plausible. Then you have Shane trying to get back in the picture by trying to fight Berto. As much as I like to see that fight (Shane should be a gatekeeper to keep up and comers from advancing up in ranks at this point), I'll rather see Cotto fight Berto and then get a crack at Mayweather. I know Mayweather would probably win on points , but Cotto should get his shot.

As a big Cotto fan, I like what you are saying, but would be heartbroken to see him lose to floyd.

Too bad PBF "retired" when Cotto was a beast.

Unloco you R loco. Not only does Berto batter Cotto, I mean Cotta. But Floyd would embarass Cotto like no other. The Boriqua Bomber is damaged goods, yeah he looked good vs. a tough, gutsy yet overhyped Jew. But putting him in the ring with Mayweather or with Pacman again is a possible death wish. I would not mind a Berto match or a Shane rematch but that next level of fighter is too daughting of a task.

I think Cotto has some good wins left in him, but at 147 or 154 he cant beat Floyd.

I'm a fan of Cotto, but there is no way he ever beats Floyd at this point in his career. Maybe a few years ago when Floyd ran away from the sport to avoid several young, hungry fighters, but not now.

At no point in his career does he ever beat any version of Mayweather 140 and above.

I'm a huge fan of Cotto but no way he beats Floyd. The Berto fight at 147 is the best big fight for him out there & one he will win.

Heard that Mosey's tests were different from the ones that Void took. Would not be surprised.

I agree that he's done at 147 as I believe that it was getting to difficult for him to hit the weight. With that said, I believe that Cotto's arms are too short for his style of fighting to translate at 154...given the current crop of talent there...
