Berto does have very good, crisp, fast uppercuts.

But I doubt it would be enough against Cotto.

might as well do it now nd bypass Foreman. Let Foreman tango wit any other trinket holder.

I'd love to see these 2 go at it, but NOT 2010!!! Berto is still in the process of stepping up in class eventhough he's the champ plus I don't know where his young mind is after some of his family died in Haiti. I do think he has what it takes to win a close decision against Cotto though. As far as Cotto go's, I don't think the Pacman KO will affect Cotto because eventhough the unfair KO from Margarito did show some effect on Cotto he was still beating everyone's ass before Pac. On the other hand I'm almost sure his dad dying will have a HUGE impace on him, and don't think he should fight again until late 2010 at the best. I can see him winning a TKO or UD.

Not the fight i want for Cotto right now, 3 of cottos last 4 opponents have been

    Margarito, Clottey, and Pac

all were tough tough fights and two were horrendous beatdowns.....

If i was at the controls.... he would
    - change up his corner
    - tighten up his skills to where they were in the quintana/judah/mosley fights
    - refocus on his hooks and body punching, to me hes gotten lazy with how he throws his hooks and he needs to buckle down on that, the way he throws them now takes a lot of the steem off them as they are essentially strong arm punches almost
    - fight a brooks level fighter with his sole concentration being to maintain bearing and showcase his skills, not just walk the guy down and use his brawn, if it goes the distance, so be it. Get that timing and defence back
    - go through the next training camp focusing on everything i stated above
    - fight a gomez level fighter concentrating on what im saying
    - go through another training camp based on what im saying
    - fight a foreman level fighter
    - another training camp

THEN id like to see him take Berto..... but this cotto just going through the motions, just cutting weight, not good sparring, being his own boss, its shown in his performences to me, and it shows in his skills. Id want 3 fights with C-, C, and C+ fighters to sharpen him again and then a fight with berto then retirement.
