Ok thinking on Cotto vs Canelo fight, I have to think in the biggest fight both have and was with Mayweather. And remembering that fight I began with Cotto that in that fight he was not as good as he is with Freddy Roush. Other thing is that people are taking about the age of Cotto 35 years old :patsch this is stupid for a man that live for his sport. Remembering that fight I never saw Mayweather been hit like that fight and I know that if in that fight Cotto don't have the corner that he have now but let staying in the post lets go to the other side.

Going to Canelo side I know he is a good boxer, young and hungry, been honest when he fight Mayweather doesn't show nothing even almost don't touch him and because of that I know that he are going to have a lot of problems with Cotto that can hit hard and prove that he really can KO any in 155. Still think that are going to be a good fight but I put my money on Cotto and don't count out a KO in favor of Cotto.

I respect every comment but please let this post clean:bbb

The difference was in the way Mayweather fought both fighters.

Mayweather fought very aggressive against Cotto as apposed to against Canelo who for the most part Mayweather employed more movement and used more defensive tactics.

Its about respect. Mayweather didn't respect Cotto as much as he did Canelo, which is why Mayweather was willing to bang with Cotto and not Canelo.

You can look at it that way when considering respect or this. Cotto has boxing skills that Floyd has to respect, along with hard hitting. If Floyd fought the same very defensive fight going with pure boxing that he did with Canelo, then he would be taking a chance with Cotto's boxing ability still allowing him to land the same amount and type of punches allowing Cotto to be closer on the cards.

Floyd took a calculated risk that he thought would get him the fight more surely, if you think he actually just decided to fight an exciting fight out of the blue against a hard puncher like Cotto then I'm not sure what to tell you. He did the same thing with Maidana, another accomplished boxer puncher, this is not a concidence. Thing is Maidana because of his odd timing and angles it was not the best course of action to go with him. Floyd's only mission is to win on rounds wide and get the KO if it comes, he has never had excitement for the sake of excitement on his mind.

Cotto won more rounds and looked WAY better vs Mayweather than Canelo.

Floyd respected Cotto, he just employed a different fight strategy with Nelo and also PAC based on wanting to play it safe. Cotto was a fight that Floyd wanted to prove something in. With Nelo and Manny Floyd was just looking to get the "w" at the expense of entertaining the masses. In that regard he respected Cotto more by not running, hugging and holding all night winning by boring UD.

That's the point off this post but no one talk about what thinks about Cotto vs Canelo fight. based on the performance that both have against Mayweather.

    Yep :good.
Cotto was ready to go. It would have been the 3rd knock out loss of his career. I don't think he would have mentally recovered from that.

    He looked somewhat better.

But then there's that old cliche, about styles and fights.

Hatton did much better against Floyd than he did against Pac. But...

And even more telling, Pavlik did WAY better against Taylor than he did against Bernard.

But little could be inferred from that.

I believe Cotto is in for a rough night against Canelo, one that will mercifully end early.

He will retain the title ?

    Could be.

But as I said, I think Cotto needs a minor miracle here.
