The winner will be the better man. Not the heaviest. Thats canelos saving grace, the fight night weight atvantage but it won't save him this time

Cotto hasn't beaten anyone worth a damn in a long while.
I see this fight as easy pickings for Canelo. A complete mismatch of a fight.

I expect a Canelo UD in this fight, with 1 or more KD's.
I don't rule the diva out though.

cotto has been different under roach. seemed to have some of that killer instinct back. yes, he hasn't faced the elite competition in his last few fights but still won impressively which has given him, I think, the confidence he had been missing for a while. I think he wins this one, IMHO.

i like both fighters and im glad this fight was made. I think canelo will win by a split decision. Cotto and canelo will give it all they have got in the later rounds. it will be very close i.m.o

Beat Austin Trout who dominated Cotto.

Beat Lara who the rest of the division does not want to face.

Canelo has taken on all comers and unlike Cotto, who has not cherry picked according to styles as the Trout and Lara fights point out.

As well, Canelo gave Mayweather a much more competitive fight than he's given credit for.

Writing is on the wall, Cotto is in for a pasting!!!

I don't think facing gammy knee Soliman was ever on his radar after he beat the gammy knee x 2 Sergio for the WBC strap. Melon Head Miguel is more interested in becoming the first 3 weight Cripple Crusher champ than becoming the first unified Cripple Crushing champ at 160. Sure he could've unified the WBC and IBF MW straps but obviously he would've had to go through Golovkin to get his mitts on the WBA one and there is more chance of Floyd Mayweather Jr. winning the Nobel prize for literature than there is of that ever happening. Obviously that could all change should both of Golovkin's knees give out on him in the not too distant future though.

Fanboy? I don't view Canelo as the next great Mexican fighter.

Wont bother me one bit if Canelo would lose, I just don't see it happening against a Cotto who has proven time and again that he loses once he steps up against the A level fighter.

Cotto is going to get dominated here, if I were to be nervous about it, I certainly would not be saying Canelo is going to be pasting Cotto.
