I agree that Cintron is a big risk for Cotto, bigger risk than Jr. Cintron has good movements and can put some serious punches together. Sure he has that weak mental fortitude like Judah, but i don't see him doing much complaining against the smaller Cotto.
Junior should fight Wolak, and then take a good look at guys like Rubio and/or David Lopez. He's only 24 years old, and he isn't ready for prime time.
Cintron should take up acting and retire from boxing, his performance against PW was a pathetic display.:tired
As terribly as Cintron's career has gone, this is a huge risk for Cotto. I'll put my chips down now and say Cintron via KO if this fight happens.
I don't think it's a bad fight, actually one I've wanted to see for a few yrs. But I just don't like giving a guy a shot @ a title (in a fight he could win) w/out doing anything to deserve it. If Cintron can catch Cotto, might be lights out, because he can still bang. But if it goes like I think & they get deep into the championship rounds, Cotto will beat him.
People really think Cintron jumped out the ring??? C'mon. Anyway. Good fight Cintron with his height and reach can really cause problems for Cotto not to mention Cintron has a powerful right cross and Cotto blocks right hands with his face.
****.. I wanted to see Jr. Get laid out.. Well it's good news for him. Cotto on the other hand is making it harder on himself.. At this point in their careers and at 154, I have to go with Cintron by mid round KO.
A significantly more interesting fight... I hope Cotto still has enough to beat Cintron... Also, I don't think Cintron jumped out of the ring. I DO think that he played up the back pain after he fell out in order to secure an early exit. He probably thought he was up on the cards...
I think Cotto will still be fighting Chavez. Chavez is still going to follow roach into emmanuel's country. From the scene.
I'd much rather see him fight Martiroysan. Make it happen TR, we know u wanna keep it in house anyway.
