well i heard about three possible opponents for cotto and they were either foreman,, a rematch with margarito,, or cintron... But now since paquaio is most likely to fight foreman he is out of the picture. And cotto has said in the past he has no intrest in a rematch with margarito so that leaves only cintron,,, if they were to fight who do you think will win? IMO cotto will easily handle cintron..
Unlike everybody else, I guess, I would worry about putting Cotto in with a guy that beat a Margarito replica with more power (Angulo) at 154. I've recently grown to really dislike Cintron and Cotto is somewhat of a sentimental favorite of mine but Cintron is a big hitter and Cotto hasn't shown viability at that weight. He'd make the weight easy as he's already a stocky WW but would he still be good against these larger guys? He's had two terrible beatings in his losses and a lot of damage in many of his wins. I think Cintron would take it and that means I don't wish for Cotto to get into a fight like that. Why jump right in with someone like Cintron after such a fight with Pac? Let's get him in with someone like Delvin Rodriguez at 147 to get him back if he wants to keep going. That way is a safer way to test the waters without taking a pushover. Rodriguez is good, just not of Cotto's caliber. If Cotto handles him easy, maybe. If he struggles, gets hurt at all, even loses, time to retire.
I wouldn't put Cotto in with anyone who can punch right now. No need to put him in with a guy like Cintron, who may lack certain things, but can certainly bang. Cotto should take a Jennings-type fight again to build up his confidence and assess where he is.
@ 147 Cotto taps that ass easily....154 is a throw up for me but even so as a loyal fan I gotta go with Miguel
