Well, another one of those Clottey/Cotto threads.

I believe this was a fantastic fight, regardless of the outcome.

I also believe that a rematch is needed and 116-111 is completely bizarre.

While Clottey may have imposed his will, I felt his inactivity and lack of favouritism in the MSG cost him.

For example, I'm an amateur, I know when you enter another fighters territory you have to win BIG. If you do not, the prestige factor may kick in and close rounds that go either way or are not very visible will go towards those they know more.

Did Cotto throw a couple of cheap shots?

Has Clottey had a few headbuts in important fights?

    Was he very active?

Point is NEITHER of them did anything to merit a FULL blown conclusive win. We have to take into account that the accidental headbut was felt more on Cotto's end, and this although he was more swollen at the end of the fight... it was mostly around that area which you discount.

    I had it as a draw, 114-114.

The knock down, plus the 11, 12, and fourth and six rounds I gave to Cotto.

By the way, I'm a full blown Cotto fan.

But, I fight like Clottey... I'm just abit more active lol
