I really hope this fight happens, Clottey may be a bit of a Plodder, but he's the strongest plodder at WW and he would KO Cotto with straight shots

well cotto beat judah and shane, but i like jc.southpaw and fast very good boxer.throws in combos and is elusive with a good d.takes a better shot then judah throws more and has better d then shane.

hes a good slick fighter, i dont think he should be considered and tune and should be taken very very seriously.

the fight gos either way if you ask me.

Nice insult. Did you steal that from a 2nd grader?

Cotto would not become the man at 147 if he beat Clottey. Floyd is the man at 147 and Cotto would have to beat him.

    Deal with it.

Cotto TKO10 (or a clear UD)

Clottey is a good boxer - quick, decent combinations, nice straight shots. But he fights in spurts and leaves his body too open. When he takes his breaks and slows his workrate, that is when Cotto will really do his thing and seriously outhustle him and bust him up. Contrary to what some might expect, he's not a big punching welterweight. His hands are very brittle. He is physically strong, but I really don't think he's stronger than Cotto. Cotto will methodically break him down, work the jab, work the body, and relentlessly apply his pressure. Clottey is not among the elite at 147. He is solid, but not elite. I don't think he poses much of a problem for Cotto who knows how to deal with boxers and speed. Clottey will be game, but he wont win.

Thats IF he does that. You said if he beats Clottey he'll be the man at 147.

You didn't say those 4 fighters.

the things you speak of can be changed by jc, im sure he knows about cottos jab and body shots.what ever he does wrong here and there(because it is only here and there) im sure he could improve on it in a cotto fight.cotto would be fighting the best jc ever.

and looking at both mens styles, clottey can do it, will he i dont know.thats why i say for me its a real pickem fight.i like how clottey handeld margo until he broke his hand.

so he can fight a pressure fighter with a high volume of punches.and do quite well.

If Cotto fought Clottey he would not become the man he'd still have to fight Floyd.
