I thought Clottey was fighting a IBF eliminator and for Cintron's title... It's not a WBA mandatory but if Cotto is to make another compulsory defense since March the 3rd, it must be against WBA interim champ Yuri Nuzhnenko or against Antonio Margarito who was rated number 3 as of November 2007.

This is some serious bull**** that I'm seeing in this thread...

How can people honestly suck on clotteys balls so hard???

    WTF????

I understand he's agood fighter but to make hi seem like he would win this fight and like he is the biggest treat ever it's some serious nuthugging....

Cotto will win this fight...Very convingcingly too....

Also why do people hate Cotto so much??

What does he have to do to prove himself???

Everytime he fights someone they say...OHHHH that's it he's going to lose....It's like they want to see him lose....

Like when he fouhgt Mosley everybody was on Mosley's wagon and when he lost they were making up excuses as like Mosley was robbed and that he was old....

Bull****!!! They weren't saying he was old when the fight was announced they were saying that he was going to fuk Cotto up...even Mosely himself admmitted he lost the fight and had to swallow his own words after saying that he was going to KO Cotto by 7....

Same with Judah and everyone else he fought,,,,

Whatever what a bunch of haters here....

And Clottey pleeaaase :patsch He's in in for a bad night...

Right now there ar no better fighters in the WW divison that Floyd or Cotto....

they're both the man in that division imo....They're the top 2:bbb

Clottey is a B- level fighter. No power, overrated speed, no mobility, no stamina and chronic hand injuries.

I cannot believe people think he has a chance in hell against Cotto, he's going to get beaten to a pulp and brutally stopped.

I just hope we get good odds.

Hey Floyd why can you don't fight Cotto and the winner prove he is the best in the division or are you afraid. Damm i forgot that you are the personal nut sack cleanner, you suck that sack like a vacum cleanner.

A one handed Clottey is almost as good as a two handed Margarito

The guy is a big strong tough welter and a live opponent to anyone

Clottey will win by knock out. clottey has never showed to been hurt in any of his fights (including margarito) whereas cotto has. Cotto is facing someone just as young, just as hungry, and just as determined. clottey has a better left hand, cotto has the better right. Expect clottey to triple up on his left hook and land with ease on Miguel. Clottey will trade and I see him blocking a lot of cottos straight punches. Let's see what cotto comes up with as a gameplan when his straight punches get blocked all night long.

    Clottey's strengths:

-Defence: he has a very tight gaurd, Cotto's straight punches will not get through
-Left hook crazy: clottey has the better left hand. when he triples and doubles up with it he will land home on Cotto. cotto's only weapon against clottey will be his left hook. If he trades with Clottey - Cotto will get knocked out.
-Chin: cotto has been wobbled and hurt in almost about all of his matches with the upper level. Torres, Corley, Super Judah, Mosley (had him backpeddling! when have we ever seen Miguel do that!) all had him hurt ready to go. the difference with Clottey is that he hits harder than all of them except Judah, but has more mental resolve than judah.
-Boxing ability: Moves a lot better than Miguel and is more of a boxer than Cotto is or will ever be.

    Clottey by knockout.

dunno about the chronic hand injuries amsterdam, the only time I have ever really seen him affected by it in a fight was against margarito. That was the only fight I really saw him stop throwing because of it. And I got to disagree with the power too. Remember amsterdam he broke diego's jaw, anytime a puncher can break bones it is because he has power. He has just been facing guys who have steel-cast chins. Guys like Margarito and baldmoir just dont get knocked out so his power has not really been on full display. I like Clottey in this. I have said it before and Ill say it again - Clottey by knockout against Cotto.

Clottey will get beaten to a bloody pulp by Cotto. There are so many parts of his game that are overatted because he beat Corrales and held his own against Margarito but has looked like crap in his other fights. His defense leaves him open for body shots and likes to go into a shell when his opponents fight back. His handspeed isnt very fast. And he tires late in fights. I feel very bad for the ass whooping that Cotto will hand him.

Clottey will have to win in spectacular fashion on Vs in order to have a chance to get the Cotto match. . . I just dont see this happening.
