Drop everything and aim for Oscar if possible.

But Im sure Oscar doesnt care if he waits till next year, he is semi-retired as it is.

Im not so confidant Clottey will beat Judah mind you.

honestly this would be a good fight but i also hope cotto gets to fight oscar first and have this fight by next year. I think clottey would win against judah

The guaranty of Cotto and Clottey both being the winners is a very big stretch and an understatement to both Judah's and Margarito's chances (which both happen to be pretty big in my eyes).

i say look for berto to be fighting contenders while cotto's unifying the other titles.....then berto still undefeated and looking good against mere contenders while gaining experience will be built up as "the only fighter who can stop cotto", setting the scene for Cotto Vs. Berto..... because theres no one way his handlers would throw berto in against cotto at this point of his career and ruining any chance Berto has of becoming the superstar they want him to.... i mean i'm a big Berto fan but i dont think he stands too much of a chance right now......but since he has the tools (speed power athleticism) to potentially test cotto, he needs more time to put it all together......although at the end of the day i'd still favor Cotto to win, just my thoughts anyways

They fit just fine in 2009. There is no need to worry, all of these guys are young enough to face each other and still be in their primes, and I seriously doudbt there will be any ducking in this new crop of welterweight champs.

I just can't fathom why so many want to see Oscar fight Paquiao or Cotto or anyone. It is pretty obvious DLH is way past his best, and his first priority is not to get hurt. There are enough good matches out there for Manny and Miguel. Oscar should leave fighting to the guys that are hungry and trying to establish themselves. Put a fork in Oscar, he's done.

I think he could rise to the ocassion and become a better fighter because of them. Like in the Cotto/Mosely fight or the Vargas/Quartey fight also, these were fights that catapulted both Cotto and Vargas to new higher standards. Having this said I'm not sticking my neck out and giving a defenetive answer just yet. As of now anything is possible...

Iff they both win then this is a good scrap.

But the odds of both of those guys winning is probably less than 50/50.

Arum promotes both, unification, Cotto's from PR so it makes a lot of sense.

But be certain if Oscar comes calling Cotto then thats the fight he takes.
