Cintron was rejected as an opponent by HBO. Surely Puerto Rican's care more about a great fight than seeing Cotto fight an undeserving challenger just because the undeserving challanger happens to be Puerto Rican?

you're giving clottey way too much credit. clottey is not a pressure fighter, but he will pose problems for cotto in the first half of the fight, but after that cotto will take over.

I say Clottey will try and implement a bit of Margos strategy (pressure) but not throw enough and Cotto will turn and rack up points on being more active.

    Cotto close ud!

    ps

If Cotto chooses not to hold very much like usual, he will get hurt.

It's a tight fight for 6 until Clottey tires out. Cotto wins by unanimous decision or possibly late TKO.

Cotto is smarter and better boxer, and I think Clotteys turtle style is well suited for Cottos body punching abilites, but Clottey is too tough to go down.

Ofcourse Clottey has punchers chance, his hands are fast and he aims shots slightly better than Mosley (who wings them) Im sure we'll see Cottos chin tested again in this one. I think its 70-30 in favor of Cotto.

i completely agree. I have a feeling mosley's "im in the drivers seat/just want big fights" attitude is going to leave him out in the cold. I understand why he would have that attitude but the truth is floyd isn't going to fight him and it seems that Cotto has more of a chance fighting pac then he does. If hatton wins maybe he has a slight advantage landing a fight with him(since they are both GBP). He could have been the one to start unifying belts by either fighting Berto or Clottey(which by the way i think are both winable fights for mosley) later this year but instead he's just staying on the sidelines waitting...and that waitting might do him harm when he chooses to get back in the ring.

i can somewhat agreee with you, but cintron should quintana on the undercard, then cotto vs clottey. that would be better for the eve of the PR day parade :good

    no it doesnt... its wack

    literally

everyone & their mother knows how ass cintron is.... if it was a good fighter and a fighter who some pr people prefer over cotto it would make sense... like if it was tito vs cotto or something and they were actually fighting for something.... everyone know's cotto is better than cintron... its not even a good match everyone in the arena would just sit their and watch cintron get his ass beat up and know the outcome

Cotto/Cintron doesn't compare to Cotto/Clottey, but Quintana/Cintron on the undercard does sound like an idea to me :good

Hatton was recently asked about fighting SSM and he said he would IF SHANE CAN MAKE 140.... which is unlikely... otherwise no, Hatton will not fight Mosely. Then you say Berto, but SSM already said he doesn't really want Berto as he see him as a young Shane Mosley.... he said this right after the Margo fight.

I think Shane should fight the winner from Cotto/Clottey ...Although I understand why everyone within the junior welterweight limit wants to fight Pacman/Hatton/Mayweather
