Seems like Arum is throwing Cotto under the bus for some reason. :think

I mean, it's a good fight for the fans,,, but Clottey is a terrible opponent for a guy trying to rebuild his career after the Margarito beat-down (or was it "cheat-down") Way too risky IMO...

Either way,,, seems like a strange bizness decision at this point. :huh

I quess as long as Cotto wins, it's not a bad move... we'll see?

While I agree this will be a tough fight I disagree with those that see josh as low reward....financially yes clotty does not bring in high dollar but the man's a champ in one of the deepest divisions in boxing regardless of the belt stripping.one can argue a win for cotto solidifies him as top dog at the moment in the welter weight division because he holds a win over the other champ mosley. How is this not worth the risk.

If Clottey can up his typical workrate and actually throw a few punches per round I see him taking this one.

Here we go with that Confucious **** again!

Seriously, I think this is a terrible fight for Cotto. And I have to take my hat off to him for taking this one. It will be a good one, but I think Clottey is just gonna be too tough for him.

I can't stand Pacman. When he did that one interview where said that he "likeded the scrip clubs" I was completely done with him. He is ignorance personified.

Here is the interview for people that haven't seen it(the famous line comes around the 1:58 minute mark)

This is the most absurd similarity that I ever heard in boxing. It simply doesn't have anything to do... Wright was nobody before the Mosley fight and the reason Shane took him was because he wanted to unify his hard won belts with Winky's IBF JMW version, and the reason Wright won was b'cause he showed us he had the best southpaw stance, right jab and score&clinch style back at the time. Clottey still is the guy who almost did it ( but did not) against Margarito and the guy who exposed Judah again... Clottey is a good fighter and he's solid as bricks but if you simply erase those triple left hooks he hammered Margo with in those 4 first rounds, he doesn't have anything to shoot back at Cotto so he'll have to walk through monster volleys and stings... He may finish the fight but he'll never win it. Cotto should not risk it as well, so it's simply a 12 round decision for Cotto. What's the big surprise???

More like Cotto vs Branco. Clottey doesn't impress me he's going down by UD

Cotto and Josh are not Shane or Wright....but the styles are definitly similar in some ways. Which will end up playing out like the Wink/Sugar fight. IMO...Cotto and Josh are not what Shane and Wink are or were but I do see some very common characteristics in both of these matches. I think Wink would win, which he did and I believe Josh will win as well.
