I'd go with Cotto ...Clottey is too stationary , I see Cotto breaking him down winning UD...You need some 1 extreamly skilled/discipline and whos quick on there feet like Mayweather to beat Cotto.

I disagree, Clottey has great defense. His defense reminds me of Winky. He also puts good combinations together, and he's a strong puncher. He's stronger, faster and bigger than Cotto. I pick Clottey in this one :yep

I think the most intriguing part of this match up is if Cotto would be able to TKO Clottey. More then likely....Cotto UD but if Cotto TKO'd Clottey, that would be really impressive.

^ Cotto could possibly do that, but it can go the other way as well. I just think Cotto would be counter at will with Clottey, which smells like a KO for Clottey

Cotto. Simply the more dynamic fighter.

Clottey's handspeed would give Cotto a lot of problems, as well as his physical strength because Cotto won't be able to bull him around the ring like he's done to pretty much all of his opponents.

And his defense is tight as hell, hard to land any clean, showing punches on him. Cotto will have to systematically break him down with hard bodyshots like he did Judah.

Good points though I think Cotto is more talented than people give him credit for Cotto will outshine Clottey and win a UD or a late TKO either way Cotto will bring the pain and Clottey will look like a warrior as well Cotto has that special gift of making other fighters look like warriors after taking a good beating.

Cotto has more than shown handspeed isn't an issue. His sense of distance, manipulating the range and timing has him in the fight from the word go. He has shown this versus fast fighters like Judah, Quintana, Corley, Malignaggi and others. All of these guys had fast hands but that didn't stop him winning rounds early or putting hurt on them to invest for later in the fight.

Cotto is taking the front foot because he is facing boxers like Judah, Urkal, Quintana and Malignaggi! When he faces a brawler he will box him more. Cotto is a great boxer and has won many fights on the back foot, working in ring centre etc

Cotto by UD or late TKO.
Clottey is good but is too stationary for miguel.

Interesting to see people's opinions of this fight two years ago. Most picked Cotto but some acknowledged that Clottey could give him some problems.
