You know I didnt think about that fight. I think that its a very good example. Pacquiao is abit better then corley in all areas, except overall strengh. But Corley did get wore down and stopped. AND im not sure that Cotto will be as weak vs Pac as he was vs Corley.

That's not it... Corley just caught Cotto with a good punch that Cotto didn't see and landed flush on his chin...

I do think tho that Corley hits harder than Judah...

It was on the temple not on his chin where he got hit that's how he got discombobulated.

One of Cotto's worst performances. I dont think it was that bad of a stoppage. Corley cant keep taking knees in a round. He took 2 in a row in the same round. Sooner or later you have to:

    fight back.

Temple or chin... If you hit your opponent with some good punch on the right spot, it sure will create some nice result...;)

Corley couldve finished cotto if he wasnt aiming for cotto's body after that shot where cotto's legs wobbled and corley is slow unlike PAC..

QUESTION: Do you feel because of Cotto's bloated up weight, that it would not have been beneficial for Cotto to let the fight go into the later rounds?

    CORLEY:
In the game plan for this fight we trained extremely hard to take Cotto in the later rounds, because we knew that he was going to blow up and he would fade in the later rounds. Cotto had to weigh in four times to make 140 pounds. He didn't get on the scale and make weight the first, second, or third time. It took him four times to make weight. So, we knew he would come into the fight blown up and that in the later rounds he would fade.

QUESTION: Do you feel there should be something done in Boxing where a guy shouldn't be able to blow up almost 20 pounds before a fight?

    CORLEY:
They should do something about it, but I don't think they will. The most a fighter should be able to put on is 8-9 pounds. Cotto has to come down almost 20 pounds just to make weight.

He WAS WEIGHT DRAINED! From the mouth of Corley himself!

Cotto probably be weight drained due to the fact that he tried to make weight 4 times but dude that Cotto chicken dance happened in the 3rd round, it's still very early in the fight...

If you understood what Corley said, he expect the bloated Cotto to fade in the later rounds... Being weight drain will lessen your stamina and it will most likely show up in the later rounds...

Weight drained boxers will also feel blows to the body more... but that punch that put Cotto on ***** street is to the head...

    Not necessarily.

And being weight drained doesn't only affect stamina. It weakens the fighter in every aspect, such as punching power and ability to take a shot.
