Floyd will never risk such a fight. Floyd looked a little frustrated at times with the pressure that little Ricky provided. The size difference with Cotto will be a huge factor not to mention Cotto is a hell of a boxer/Puncher. I will be shocked if the fight ever took place. Just read in between the lines when Merchant asked Floyd about Cotto, Floyd always seems to avoid any conversations when it omes to Cotto one because of Arum and two it will be by far the toughest fight for Mayweather in his career.
mayweather was never frustrated....he had a plan, and part of it was letting hatton waste energy with body punches. Cotto is NOWHERE NEAR mayweather in terms of technical boxing skill, that's disgraceful to say that. cotto is smooth, powerful, but lacks the defense to avoid floyd's quick straight and also the footwork and agility to cut off the ring and land that "left hook" - note how ricky landed almost no decent left body hooks. the fight would not be tough. look for the same thing you saw tonight.
Cotto Does not what????? Have Hatton ever been hit by guys like Torres, Zab, Shane?, hell no Cotto took all tha **** , got wobbled yes but stayed up (the torres KD was a push down, hate to admit it as much as a torres fan i am) if anything Cotto has the better chin in between the 2 at 147, plus Cotto wont rush in, hell mix it up. Cant PBF TKO him, well maybe yes, anything can happend, Hell who thougt Peter would win a desicion over Toney heh!, its boxing anything can happened
big Floyd fan. i loved every moment of that last round to see my boy win. with that said, i dont like the way Floyd answered that question about Cotto in the interview. Cotto has proven himself and i think that Mayweather should want to fight him. i think Floyd is def pfp champ but Cotto is the next guy for him to fight. no question.
This is a real Floyd fan with a background of following the sport and not just a random nuthugger who thinks every other boxer is crappy except for PBF.
he said "Cotto is a great fightter Blah blah balh.............. i wont let the sport of boxing retire me, im gonna retire from the sport of boxing"
