Yeah. Cotto is a legitimate PFP world-class fighter. He has one loss and that's to a once-a-generation talent. Cotto is easily Top 10 PFP.

    WAR COTTO

Its Cotto. Cotto has one of the best and strongest jabs in the game. Knocked down Clottey w/ it, busted up Floyd pretty well and was getting Manny w/ it also.

Why is being talked about as if it's a surprise? :huh

It's Miguel Cotto we're talking about. Who's Golovkin fought? :huh

Here is a news flash from a non-bias party. Rigondeaux is a completely untested at the world level hype at this point. His stellar amateur career means very little in the pro game, just look at Howard Davis Jr. as a shining example. Guillermo needs to fight someone with a pulse first, before he starts throwing stones. He knows who the big names of the division are, and Mares has said on more then one occasion that he'd love to fight Rigo again.

Golovkin sparred with Sergio Martinez in preparation for his fight with Chavez Jr. Maravilla's camp was very happy with him and now people say he is overrated because Cotto got the best of him. Golovkin is a very good young fighter and Cotto at one time was elite so I am certain that he could get the best of him in sparring. Let us not forget that sparring is generally not the same as fighting.

I'm a big fan of Teon, but he wasn't even in the top 50 when they fought, and that's a fact. Ramos isn't much to brag about, he was as scared as a dear in headlights. Marroquin didn't drop over 30 spots (too 55) losing to Rigo sorry. Cordoba was a decent win I'll give you that, but that's about it.

i take it you haven't seen spadafora beat mayweather up in sparring?

if they were to meet in a pro ring, mayweather would tap that with ease. :yep

If Golovkin is sparring Cotto, he is more than likely being asked to emulate Austin Trout, which is what often happens when you come in as a sparring partner to help another guy get ready for his upcoming bout. You can't really take anything from sparring under those circumstances. We already knew Golovkin was hittable.
