You guys have thrown out a plethora of fighters that Cotto should fight instead of Gomez. However, I have given good reason why each one of those fighters are not a more viable option than Gomez in April. Given the nature of the sport, there are a lot of factors that go into making a fight. Given all of these factors, Gomez is the best option for Cotto in April.
Very true. However, Cotto had his sights set on a fight with DLH. By the time he found out that fight wasn't an option, Williams had already signed to fight Quintana
Obviously there are better fights, but that doesn't mean they will be made. But I agree with you here. I don't think it will be a bad fight. Gomez is pretty good. Not to mention, if you fight as often as Cotto has, a 'gimme fight' (even though this isn't one) is allowed right?
Like I said bigreg - Cotto should of fought Cintron or Clottey. Not Gomez. You said Cintron needed to fill his mando? Nope, he's fighting Margo, not Clottey. Cotto-Clottey Cintron-Margo 2 Winner vs Winner Gomez shouldn't be in the picture.

Ring Master, what about all the other **** I wrote in this thread? I said Cotto would stop Gomez and he did. I said that this would raise Cotto's profile and it did. I said this would setup a big Cotto/Margo ppv in July and it has. I said Cintron is overrated and folds under pressure and he did. Looking back on this thread, I was right on pretty much every point I made; the fight with Gomez was in fact Cotto's best option. The only thing that I was off on was that I said that it would be competetive. However, I later changed my mind on that opinion
