Cotto was green at 140, now that he has faced Zab and Shane he is clearly ready. . .Fraud is not, cause he's concentrating on promoting and his record label . . . oh wait, he's got two pointless rematches with the two Rickys lined up.

    :good

The best part to me is when Margarito says he would beat him down just like Chavez beat down his uncle. :thumbsup

I love how you Mayweather fans have bought into his BS, remember you fight the best not the most popular. **** put Baldomir against Gomez are tell us how low that would be, yet Mayweather fought him. Plus who it was an awful mismatch, not sure why he was fighting Gomez in the first place..

I don't know about that. Argentinians must have some reason to like him as seen below: a Cotto Banner sporting a RiverPlate Jersey like the one he wears to the ring for some of his fights in a soccer stadium in Argentina.

if floyd is such a huge draw why does he need cotto's fans?

i thought he can sell over 1 million ppv's himself?

They were probably poor, which is why DLH and Mosley ignored him when said he wanted to fight them after the Bruseles fight. Neither one wanted to fight him until he became a draw.

And the fact that he wasn't in their division had nothing to do with it? :huh

BTW, wasn't Floyd busy after Bruseles anyway? I mean, didn't he fight Bruseles to get to Gatti? Then NEEDED a tune up @ 147 hence Mitchell? All that was been repeated ad nauseum by the Joy boys. Seems to me Mayeather was just too busy for Shane and DLH for that time period Reg.

No. Mayweather had never fought at 154 when DLH fought him, Forbes is a 140 lb. fighte. DLH has no problem fighting smaller guys if it makes him a lot of money. Mosley was fighting at 154 and Floyd was at 147 when he first made it known that he was interested in fighting Floyd

Don't be silly. You really think Floyd would have turned down Oscar or Mosley in order to fight Gatti? The answer to that is a restounding no. He fought Gatti becasue that was the biggest fight out there for him. All though he was no.2 on the p4p list, he still had trouble getting people into the ring with him because of his lack of drawing power.

No, but he was the champ in the division right below. I don't really give a **** about DLH and his fights w/ smaller guys. You can use those as some reasoning if you see fit. For the most part of their careers, none of those guys were in the same weight class as Floyd. Its that simple. He's moved up catching up wioth them. So fights look more doable when they are closer. You can say it was ALL due to Floyd's becoming a draw, but it was likely more then just ONE REASON.

He might have, but it looks like all of them were doing their own thing at the time.

Put Margarito Cotto on HBO and see what it does ..How many people outside the die hard audience really knew who Gomez was anyway?

Three years ago Gayweather was figthing Henry Bruseles in Miami, the place wasn't even half full (i was there). Is he a big draw??Hell no!!!!He needs a big draw partner(de lahoya hatton gatti etccc) to make good ppv numbers, for casual boxing fans gayweather's style sucks.Casual boxing fans like action fighters and you need them to make good ppv numbers.Once gayweather gets beat his small draw powe won't last very long.
