Does anything honestly believe that Hatton can hang with Cotto. I really hope not. Cotto is just on another level.

I'm sure you Hatton fans will defend your boy till the end, but not even a ref from Hatton's hometown would save him against Cotto.

This would be a butchering at 145 Cotto is too much with his timing and footwork. Maybe at 140 if Cotto is drained enough but I doubt it. Cotto is a smarter, more experienced fighter than when he left light Welterweight.

there was a thread back then regarding cotto-hatton. A lot of people had cotto winning at 147 but hatton winning at 140. But imo cotto would even **** on hatton at 140

man, i'm glad that someone finally agrees with me. i do think it would be a closer fight, but Cotto was stronger than everyone at light welter also. i truly believe he would have beaten hatton there as well. i think it would just be worse at 147 b/c he is not as drained.

    hatton is just wayyyyyyy overrated.

This fight would be a systematical destruction of Hatton by Cotto.

Hatton relies on fighting people who are weaker then him to allow himself to grapple and bully them around the ring. Cotto is alot strong than Hatton aswell as having far better technique, defence, counterpunching skills and accuracy.

Cotto will rip hatton apart with accurate combos and his snappy jab on the outside and generally outbox him. On the inside hatton wont be able to wrestle with cotto because he is stronger and will be worn down by body shots.

Cotto will TKO him in the mid rounds after a brutal beating. :D

I agree, Hatton would be demolished within 8.

Hatton is tough as **** and will hang in there for a while but would be stopped.

This is a fight we will never get to see in my opinion. I would have loved to have seen it at 140 a few years ago, but despite me being British, and a big Hatton fan I can only see one winner. Right now Cotto would batter him.

Iv said it time again and when Cotto was a rising prospect at 140 that he had the tools to DESTROY a guy like Hatton. Cotto currently has one of the best resumes in boxing. His ledger is littered with quality C B and A calibre fighters. He was brought along excellently from a young age and his pedigree is thorough. Any fight between Hatton and Cotto be it at ANY weight, Hatton gets destroyed in devastating fashion in well under 5 rounds. It wouldnt even be close. Cotto would simply walk through everything that Hatton could throw as Hatton just wont have the power to keep him honest nor the style to stick and move and get on his bike. It would be a thorough destruction.

Hatton is grossly overrated. He just doesnt have the pedigree nor the style to hang with any of the big names at welter and that includes Kermit Cintron.
