I also think he destroys Witter.

Hatton has basically ruled out 147 and ruled out fighting the top guy at 140....Witter. Convenient that huh.
That leaves him to fight guys like Lazcano, Malignaggi (who made his name in getting battered by a drained Cotto and got a gift against Ngoujou) and any smaller guys moving up.
**** knows how guys like Hatton and Mayweather are allowed to get away with this king of bull****

Cotto would beat Hatton very badly within 6, he would just bust him up. The only thing Hatton would have going for him is his underated footspeed to get in close, but against Cotto it wouldnt matter because Cotto would own him on the inside. Cotto even at LW was head and shoulders above the rest, its just a shame people are only just realising this.

Hatton is an Alevel fighter its just that the Mayweathers and Cottos of our generation are elite level fighters:yep

Hatton at Welter would have to be matched carefully and to be honest that goes for any of the light welters out there at the minute.

Yeah I agree, he'd basically get brutalized by any top 10 welterweight. And he'd struggle with the 5 below the top 10.

you do realise though that cotto is a much sturdier, stronger and better fighter then when that match up was being talked about when both were undefeated at 140. totally differant ballgame now..

Hatton at 147 loses just about everything that makes him special at 140.

Cotto would get charged with assault by the time the fight is through.

PBF and Hatton dont fit in the same sentance. PBF`s resume is legit. Hattons is NOT. Cotto stamps his authority over 47. Hatton runs back to 140 and takes on Lazcano. Meanwhile his "fans" apparently have little problem with this and Ricky is only interested in selling family bucket tickets for his chavs to come and see the Ricky Hatton show. Give me a ****ing break.

about hatton being overated because he cant hang at welter...

give it a rest... hes NOT A WELTERWEIGHT!!!!

FLOYD isnt a WW for real and did you see how small hatton was compared to floyd??? i think floyd said it himself when he said he was fighting a MIDGET.

the man is 5'6, and makes 140 EASILY... hes not overated just because he cant beat LEGIT beasts at 147.

BTW... hatton would beat cintrons ass, would be a favorite over judah, already fought on even terms with collazo...

So its a big deal that the big dogs in the weight class above him beat him??? its like you guys are STRETCHING to try and hate on hatton to me. who gives a ****?

He is a fighter who is great against guys his own size, and the bigger and stronger his opponents get the less effective he will be. Mayweather is on a level where he can effectively adapt to peoples size... though again, hes not 5 nothing.

My point is that Mayweather should be looking to fight Cotto and Mosley...**** even Margarito if he wants total respect from boxing fans and a great legacy. Not rematches of fights he's already won against old overated ass Hoya and B level Hatton.
Hatton on the other hand is little or nothing short of a fraud, simple as that. He's got to he the most overhyped fighter going....considering what little he has done.
