Cotto vs Hatton = slaughter, not slugfest

For one his ability to swarm and outmuscle guys.

He can't do that at 147...his power also doesn't carry up well either. At 140 he's very strong where as at 1-4-7 fringe guys like Collazo make him look bad.

 

the difference is that top level fighters like Mayweather or even guys nowhere near as good as him can go through the weights and do things, limited bullies like Hatton cant cope with 1 single jump in weight....he's just not good enough. This idea that's Hatton is a p4p fighter is laughable.

 

Witter fans dont realise but when i said Harris was not an excellent win like everyone was trying to claim, all they came back with was his 'quality' win over Lazcarno. Now Hattons fighting Lazcarno as a warm up!, they are rubbishing him for taking the fight....its ridiculous.

and as ive posted before Hatton is an A level fighter, if he wasnt he wouldnt have got this far, but he isnt elite like Cotto and Floyd

I dont want to get into a is Hatton **** argument but due to his physical dimensions he has to fight aggresive and it wont work against naturally bigger guys up at Welterweight!

Pac is just as tall as Hatton and has a longer reach as do many super bantamweights when compared to Hatton!

Kirk your talking crap. Hatton is 5ft 6. Cotto is 5ft 7. Thats hardly much of a startling advantage in height that Cotto has at the higher weight.

How come Hatton only seems to be good against guys his size? What kind of stupid argument is that? Look at the quality of his opposition and then tell me wether you truly believe that statement. Shane DLH Zab and Cotto have all had success at the higher weights. Why? Because they were all exceptionally talented. Meanwhile Hatton has been made out to be this socalled monster at 140 when his biggest opponent to date was Kostya who had 1 foot in retirement. Hatton made 1 foray to 47 against Collazo and was exposed as limited fighter NOT because of the weight but simply because his skillset doesnt transalate when compared to better opposition. Anyone can look good beating up the Stephen Smiths of this world but let see him in with a real big gun and well see what kids cojones are made of. PBF already owned him and lo and behold he wont even fight his main threat at 140 Junior Witter.

So while boxings big names like Cotto Shane Zab Johnson Calzaghe etc etc are all taking on big names in great bouts Hatton gives us a family ticket for a £100 and says come and watch me vs Juan Lazcano?? Il pass on that monster.

no, Tszyu had a good career with several big wins....Hatton is still riding off the back of his win over semi-retited Tszyu in a fight where he got away with all kinds of fouling, there's **** all else on his record to justify the hype. Most called Castillo before the fight...that he was a shot smaller man looking for a payday.

Kirk YOU pointed out tha Hatton was 5ft 6 and thus small in your eyes for Welter. I pointed out that Cotto is a meer 1 inch taller. Now in your eyes you see Cotto as the bigger man. But considering Hatton has been known to be as high as 190 in between fights thats wholly subjective. There was time when Arum was trying to get Cotto to make 35. I believe the lowest he could get too was 36. You reckon Hatton could make 35? Like i said its entirely subjective.

I have NEVER said that its Cotto size that wins a fight against Hatton. His simply the better fighter end of story. Your the one that made a case that Hattons size doesnt allow him to be effective at the higher weights. Im saying thats BS because he doesnt have the style, talent nor skill to be effective against any of the top names at welter.

Now it seems that you seem to convieniently forget all the dross prior to Hattons loss at the hands of Kostya. Hatton has had well over 40 fights and only 2 guys were elite fighters. The rest were WBU gimmes. Now if Hatton is a monster at 140 why does he need a comeback fight against a lightweight when he last fight was effectively at welter?
