Cotto beats him now, and would have beat him when he was at 140.

Agreed, this fight would get real ugly, real quick.

Hatton trying to get in close, Cotto busting up his face with well-timed jabs, Hatton having second thoughts about coming in, Cotto forcing him back, crushing him with accurate power punches to the body and the head.

Cotto TKO anywhere between 3 and 6.

And that my friends is exactly what would happen in a Cotto vs Hatton fight. People don't get it, the SECOND that Hatton losses a little bit of confidence and becomes even a LITTLE hesitant with his attack, it would be O V E R

Hatton doesnt have a chance against Cotto.

    Hatton-Margo would be interesting though

It wasnt that long ago that he was complaining how he couldnt make weight at 140 and was too small and that 147 would give him more room. Then he gets to 147 and now its too big for him. What are they supposed to do make a special division for Hatton?

Hatton was never an elite top level fighter. He is good and has his strengths but he was never the level of a DLH, Mosley, PBF. He is more of a Judah, a good fighter but not the best of his time or division.

Probably, the size and strength advantages are there. Margo does have sloppy defence though so he will get hit too.

It could make for a good fight stylewise if you want a Gatti-Ward.

For sure. Too big, far too strong. He'd stop Hatton within 7 rounds tops.

Listen up folks, this has nothing to do with the fact that Hatton just suffered his first loss. This has to do with the following:

1.) Hatton was hurt by Luis Collazo, a non-puncher. Every punch Cotto throws hurts.
2.) Hatton got hurt to the body by Urango. Now think of Cotto's body attack.

Miguel Cotto would destroy Ricky Hatton. If you think differently you are in serious denial.
