Both are pody punching pressure fighters. Just out of curiosity how do you think this matchup would unfold. I personally wouldn't be able see Hatton boring into Cotto, Cotto strength and size is of middleweight proportions. I actually see this as a way harder fight for Hatton than Mayweather.
Cotto late stoppage. But it wouldn't be as easy as many will say later in this thread. Anyway, Hatton has the small matter of Mayweather to deal with first.
the main reason that i want Hatton to win is because of this. Cotto vs Hatton...put that **** in yankee stadium...20k ricans 20k brits ****in fill that place to the roof with 2 awesome cultures that are completely insane..Man that would be the most amazing boxing environment EVER

I hope this fight happens soon... I'd rather see this fight than Cotto vs Floyd or DLH I think this would be a much more entertaining fight for the fans.... I have Cotto by late stoppage or UD..
Cotto is the obvious pick, but if you look closely Hatton's pressure could offset Cotto...when Mosley pressed the attack, Cotto did look a little uncomfortable but he handled it well and counter-punched Mosley...but Mosley's assault going forward is nowhere near Hatton's these days in terms of punch output...and Cotto being a bullish type fighter might be not as good on his backfoot...i don't see Cotto blowing Hatton away, and it would be a close fight...
