    Wow,

I didn't think Williams would vacate his welterweight title. Maybe he really is leaving the welterweight division.

Well, looks like it'll be Cotto against this guy Jennings for the vacant WBO title.

Cotto is back in the mix. He was never out of it...no shame in losing to Antonio Margarito!!

    Typical.

A vacant WBO 'title' is up for grabs and a Sports Network fighter gets first shot.

You really think Cotto will take this route?

I don't think it is that bad for a comeback fight.

Jennings isn't no Gary Lockett, thats for sure. It will be either for a title on VERSUS say, or on the undercard of someone elses next fight.

    Then again.....

Who do Top Rank have (other than Margo) fighting Jan/Feb that won't be in a comeback fight?

Wow Top Rank really giving Cotto a tough one here a average England club fighter whos never fought a notable name and has very few stoppages. What happend to the Berto or Cintron is next for Cotto **** I was hearing a few weeks ago.

Sad on multiple levels. PTP wouldn't be vacating if someone would step up and fight him. The networks also dropped the ball by not working out a date and the funding to produce a significant title defense for him. Cotto is one of my favorite fighters but for him to win a belt and be recognized as a champion if he should defeat Jennings is a joke. Should Cotto defeat Jennings and Margarito beats Mosley and a rematch between the two comes to fruition, I wonder if it will be a unification match. Or will one of them get stripped to fight the other instead of fighting their possible mandatory the way Margo was for not fighting Clottey before his fight against Cotto? It's all a joke and the powers should be ashamed of themselves.
