I reckon Khan would be flashier than Cotto and probably win rounds, but I strongly doubt that he's durable enough to stay in with Cotto for the full distance to actually win that decision.. Massive fan of both.. but I think a late Cotto KO

I'm not sure what kinda wonders it would add to his overall game but I'm pretty sure it would increase his foundational strength but it would also force him to sacrafice the amount of time he would normally be spending on his toes. Like most things in life it would be small trade off, I doubt his intent would be to add muscle and decrease the elasticity and spring in his legs. Some guys are uniquely built and can add tons of bulk while still maintaining those fast twictch (ala RJJ) but the irony here is they burn out quicker (ala RJJ) God's cruel trick on the physically gifted :)mad:)

I dont know what fights you've been watching on Cotto but Cotto cuts the ring off effectively...He defense may be sub-par but he still has enough to pic off Khan's shots and deliever some vicious body shots...With Cotto's timing, he would be busting Khan's ass up pretty badly...Khan lacks the inside fighting ability to keep Cotto honest...Khan needs to keep his range against a fighter like Cotto for the majority of the fight and seriously doubt he could do that for a 12 round fight...Hell, Khan coudlnt even keep a plodding, slow Maidana off him for the whole fight and you expect people to believe that Khan is gonna somehow manage to keep a stronger, more skilled fighter in Cotto of him??? Lets be for real.

Flip side, how do you know Khan is gonna maintane his speed and power moving up to 147...You're acting like Khan is a proven fighter at 147.

You guys are being delusional if you think Khan is just gonna go in there and box circles around Cotto at 147.:-(

Khan gets stopped...Cotto hits very hard..even harder than Petersen, and Cotto would be able to put Khan on ***** street at least 2 times in the fight.

That's right. They will have the fight in vegas and the same judges from the PBF fight. 11-1 Khan.

Not necessarily true. . Kessler just said his "one shot n' drop" KO power is present at 175, where it wasn't at 168. . .

Malignaggi certainly seems to have a little bit more pop in his punch at 147. . .

It all depends on the fighter. . . SRL was a guy who probably never really had to cut much weight beacuse he had such great genetics, metabolism, and everything that came along with it. . So he had just as "full of a fuel tank" at 147, then he did at 160. . So yes, his power would be less effective.

Khan's frame is still developing, and I bet he has to cut 15 pounds or so of "walking around weight", and might be weakened. . He could find "newfound power" at 147. . . Devon Alexander appeared to have. . .
